99% certain they won't.

Normally I'd agree, but I'm not ready to be one of those R* can do anything people. The leaks also showed a brand new compact hatchback with the Shafter interior. Gonna doubt this game until I see everything

That same hatchback appears to have gained a new interior by the time the trailer came out:

VI will be the first GTA game designed for first person since it was shoehorned into V post release. That combined with VI being a much newer and higher quality game I think makes it more likely that cars will have proper interiors now.

I made this post in the VI vehicle database showing most of the vehicle interiors seen in the leak and trailer. It isn't a complete list but it shows that most car interiors seen so far are based on the car's real life interior, and I don't think that's coincidental or just for specific popular cars as many of them are random NPC cars.

NPC cars.

I am sort of joking, but I am still kind of serious, but there is no "NPC cars" in GTA, because as we the players can pick and drive any vehicle, that we wanted to drive that is in the GTA games. Is one of the many things that makes GTA more special than the other car racing video games, because it's not just another car racing game, it's a Jack of all Trades video game that can do it all.  That is the first and the main reason why I started to play GTA in the first place, because I got tired of playing car racing games, because I could not drive my favorite cars in the games, the boring NPC cars.

I agree, the ability to use regular cars in GTA is what brought me to the series as well.

The first time I played GTA III at a friends house I was amazed that the game let me drive the Moonbeam since other games I played like NFS Carbon didn't let you drive the regular traffic cars (like the news van I desperately wanted to drive).

He kept trying to get me to steal the Banshee from the showroom but I wasn't interested, I had found something more unique to me lol.

I was referring to those cars as NPC cars because they are normal vehicles being used by NPCs and not character specific or featured vehicles like the Tulip or Ranchero.

I have seen people say that only "desireable" cars or those featured in the story will have unique interiors but I don't think that will be the case since all of the random cars so far seem to have unique interiors too.

Seeing this car getting f*cked up so bad for no reason at all is really disturbing... The design of the headlights is really nothing great but I'm happy we got a C6. But to not give it the proper sound while it's been available for 11 years + the lack of customization options + the fact we do not get a police version of it while the D10 does is beyond all comprehension. Like them adding this while not simply giving back the GTA IV Coquette or the Chavos V6 instead of the GTA IV Chavos or you know... the damn Sentinel from GTA IV! Nothing makes sense! It's the Jester Classic, Ellie, Ardent and JB 700W all over again! So much potential only to be wasted! f*ck this! They gave all the good stuff to the Banshee GTS while this poor gal was left starving in the corner of the room! And now, the modders are already doing their best to fix the mess! AGAIN! Ignorance is one thing, stupidity is another, but when you stack so many thick slices of stupid in the same stupid sandwich, it's not stupid anymore, it's insane! It's like waiting Halloween to learn to speak vietnamese to put on a bulletproof vest and a tutu made of cheese to swan dive in a pool full of acid in the middle of the north pole...

Whoever made the Banshee GTS needs a raise.

Whoever made this, needs to talk with the guy who made the Banshee GTS.

I guess we now know the definition of insanity; It's the Coquette D5.

Good one, Rockstar! Another botched opportunity added to the pile...

The V6 engine sound does not bother me about this car, but what bothers me is the forced targa top, without a normal roof version to go with it. There is not an option to take the targa top off like the Invetero Coquette from GTA's story mode. The targa top itself does not bother me, just no option to take it off or a normal roof option to add to it. And there is the no ZR1 mods for this car, that also hurts.

Well, it was a beta tbf. While the reality is that some cool features might not make it into the final game, in the same vein a lot of stuff is unfinished/are-placeholders (like most of the IV cars shown, I'm certain) and will be much more polished.

Yeah, honestly this car is botched. I love that I was able to turn it into something I enjoy. But I can't 3D model so I'm still left longing for a Z06 or ZR1. I don't understand who approved this vehicle without mod parts like that.

Some cars are so well done you can be sure the person in charge is a car guy. And then there are models which are rushed, have  unlogical design choices and leck of good mods, which makes me ask myself...what is wrong with R*? They need much better internal standarized process when it comes to cars and better quality control. Many of us could tell them how not to mess up a specific car. They could just check this forum and would have more than enough input. It's not acceptable that the cars like this one but also many others have these poor choices.

It's pretty evident from this thread that forumers aren't happy with the D5, so it gave me the idea of writing a feedback comment to Rockstar about it. No idea if they'll listen but if we make our voices heard we can at least say we tried to do something about it.

This is what I've written, feel free to copy and paste it for your own feedback comment, or write something of your own:

"Please fix the issues with the currently unreleased Coquette D5:

Change the engine sound to one that sounds like a V8 (even using the original Coquette sound would be okay)

Roof options such as different colours/materials and the option to remove the roof panels

Options to change the colour/material of the headlight housing (e.g. paint matching with the rest of the car, like with the real life C6 Corvette)

Hood, bumper and fender options similar to the Z06 and ZR1 variants."

If we can make enough noise about this, then Rockstar will have more incentive/expectations on them to change things.

It’s not unprecedented, the Jester Classic was removed from the AH dripfeed because people were so disappointed with it and held back til the next update where they fixed some of the issues and maybe also changed its class from sports classics to sports (that last part may have happened even later but I do clearly remember them never releasing it in the dripfeed for the update it was added with).

This is good if this car is truly just a back port from VI, in that case they can add all of the improvements there. Unfortunately they probably won’t do jack for it in gta 5 online.

I was mildly interested in getting but after hearing how it sounds, no chance. First it barely has any good customization which i could have looked past by keeping it stock, now the sound is all off. Hard pass. They already had the OG Coquette sound right there couldnt they just use that ?

Exactly, because it's a Corvette and real Corvette actually sounds very similar as well. The D1 even has the OG Coquette sound with slight different pitch.

Okay, hear me out...

Don't release it now, Rockstar. Hold on to it while it's hot and pamper it like you did for the original Jester Classic, then release it when it's (mostly) fixed.

1 Switch to the original Coquette engine sound.

2 Boost it up by tweaking some numbers in the files so it can almost rival the non HSW Banshee GTS.

3 Give us colourable headlight options.

4 As for the headlights themselves... You remember how we had the option to put pop ups on the Gauntlet Classic?

42761

Y not?

5 Add an HSW version of it and a POLICE HSW VERSION TOO, ALONG THE GTA IV SENTINEL WITH A RACE HSW VERSION!

JUST PORT THE GODDAM MODEL FOR CHRIST SAKE! GIVE IT TO US!

And add some roof options, a normal roof version and an option to take the targa top off and a ZR1 hood look-alike option.

It's already fast. It's top speed is around 130mph plus it has great handling. The sound is just atrocious. The C6 doesn't have pop up lights I that know of like the C5.

very true.

this kind of response is actually what got the Jester Classic not released until they changed it.

to this day, the only car to be held back until a later DLC. was an interesting time

The Coquettes out of the bag even on console, I’ve seen a few people driving around in them and even got to try the new aircraft in a PS5 lobby. That doesn’t mean they can’t hold it back, but with GTAO winding down I’d almost say play it safe and just release it. What if it gets put on the back burner and never comes out? They could always do a D5 custom to fix the issues kinda like when they gave us a second much better Sultan Classic (the RS Classic).

I doubt they will change it at this point . Its very clear the people who have been working on last couple of dlc cars are the b team the main team moved on to gta 6 . It would explain why the cars have been inconsistent with terrible 2013 era interiors and engine models .

Looking at the list on Twitter. It seems like the Uranus is next, with the Coquette following
