Ultimate GTA poll

Not sure if this was ever done before but I kinda wanna create a general poll regarding the series. Me personally I played only once on console and never on mobile. But I also never really had the need to mod. I could enjoy vanilla without issues. I learned to respect the controller mindset much more, I can dig why someone wants to play that way, but I still prefer kb+m. So far I didn't emulate but I plan to with 3d era games.

I play GTAV on console and the older games on my computer. I use mods for III, Vice City and San Andreas to polish them, fix issues and make the experience better. I don’t use mods for GTAIV, although I would like to be able to install DXVK and FusionFix to fix the god awful performance of the game, but I can’t get them to work on my computer so I just gave up and I run the game on low settings to have a somewhat okay performance.

I have used PCSX2 to play LCS and VCS but it has been pretty unstable with lots of crashes, so I only completed them once and haven’t touch them since. For the games I have on PC, I don’t mind playing them with keyboard/mouse or controller and I usually alternate between them. For GTAV though I obviously only play it with a controller since I only play it on console. I will play GTAVI on my console as well, and I hope that Rockstar will also port GTAIV to PS4 someday so that I can play a good and stable version of the game, just like the recent RDR1 port which is very good on PS5.

Nowadays I play all the 3D era games in PCSX2 with a controller because to me it's just the simplest way to get all the original vanilla games working without any tinkering for nostalgia.

I been using a controller more gradually overall because I start to understand the philosophy behind it, aiming is the only thing I think still truly sucks, I'm hoping gyro aiming will become commonplace and be present in GTA6, bought a PS5 just for it.

 

I generally play total vanilla, unless they are technical fixes/song restoring. To me modding ruins the canon of the story. If I'm modding its to mess around like teleporting to Cayo Perico/Yankton to explore or things like that.

at one time I played Gta 5 on a computer and on ps 3, time passed and in 2022 I lost my computer, it burned down along with the barn into which the UAV flew, and then I decided GTA 5 on ps 3 was going badly, there was no online, there was no money for a good computer either, and I decided buy an Xbox series s for myself, it came to me from Poland, (I'm surprised how) well, after setting it up, I went into gta 5 and from that moment on I did not feel any significant flaws in it, there are online and it is stable, there are no cheaters, optimization is good, in general everything is fine with the game, besides this I went through more than one of these games on the console, there are many other games, on the day of the release of stalker 2 I started to go through it and I did not find any lags, bugs or something else, although I almost passed it. 

I would also like to add, in addition to the computer, I have an old laptop on which there are old rockstar games and many other old games that are more or less normally played. But I am sure that he will not pull Gta 5, and from online he will explode at all
