Any ways to get GTA on steam?

I live in Venezuela and most of Rockstar's games are region locked, I can only buy GTA DE and RDR. I wish to buy GTA IV and perhaps Bully but I don't know if there's a 'safe' way to acquire them on steam considering the place where I live.

Additionally, how safe do you think would be to buy a steam key of the OG GTA Trilogy?

Maybe someone else can answer you better. I think you shouldn't own them on steam (is it only GTA IV, Bully and RDR2 that is not available?), from what I have read around before it is risky that your entire account can get locked or something like that, it's steam's subscriber agreement if it's not available in your country (steam store). It's only 3 games or so right?

But again that seems to be rare, but could happen. It's better from Rockstar's site directly to get them if that is available to you and have an account if there is a sale there. You can always wait a few more years maybe one day they will be available on your country's steam store, you never know.

For OG GTA Trilogy is same but if that was available in your country's steam store before they got delisted, yeah should be fine if you find a key but make sure it does activate and it is for steam, it should say if it does somewhere (WW) I think?. Eh I don't quite trust resellers but that's how I bought some other older games I didn't have any issues. Now about your country's laws specific when it comes to online purchases, only you know that/can know or someone else from there, be careful.

This is the list of R* games' available in my country for PC:

  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

The funny thing is that I can only buy them on Steam. If I search for them on Rockstar's webpage they're all unavailable which makes this even more confusing.

I remember there was a time when these games were available in my country, I could find the OG GTAs, GTA V, GTA IV, Bully and so on. It was like a rollercoaster because there was a period when they were available, then they disappeared, then they were back again until GTA DE launched; after the launch they disappeared one more time. I only have GTA V on Epic Games and OG GTA SA on R* Launcher (Even though I have them, I'm loyal to steam, that's why I wish to have them there)

I know that according to Steam laws you shouldn't acquire games that are not available in your country but c'mon, is not like I'm buying games at lower prices, all the opposite, I'll be buying games at HIGHER prices. What if I genuinely leave my country for a trip, acquire the games legally and then return? I don't think they can take away my games. I've been thinking to emulate that scenario: Change my store region manually from Venezuela to US, use a US payment method to buy all the region-locked games I want (R* games' are not the only games unavailable here, Bandai Namco's are also unavailable), wait 6 months and change my store region back to Venezuela. I don't know how feasible and safe could be to try that. Of course I want to make sure that my Steam account wouldn't be compromised if I try that.

For OG GTA Trilogy, I guess I'll have to search for steam keys that can be activated in Venezuela. What platform do you recommend to buy keys?

I did buy from the usual Kinguin before some game keys like Prey (2006) or instantgaming but these aren't trusted, I personally never had an issue buying keys except one time that the key was already used, who knows in the future with the keys I used, so that can tell you from that but up to you. I heard more legit is cdkeys.

My opinion steam or not steam, you still have the games, it's not different just because you have them in your library, we don't exactly own these (at any point they can remove them too from library or whatever). Back when steam game trading existed I traded the complete collection that includes GTA1 and 2 (you can find it on that same site but it cannot be activated in your country, unless vpn change? idk, you might have to find each game separate).

Whatever it is I am not that well informed on these, someone else can probably give a better answer. I never really used my personal info buying from there either, it was with paysafe codes, so again be careful.
