Red Dead Redemption Issues Thread

Undead Nightmare in general is weird, I seem to get a lot more audio issues here. And this bizarre sky while I was in Dead-Eye. Also, am I the only one noticing how from a certain distance, the undead look human, as if their undead textures hadn't applied yet? I recall this happening in the original too, but at a further distance, it's kind of closer here.

  1. The distance the undead look human is the same between PC and X360, playing at higher resolutions makes it much more apparent than the X360 version.
  2. That bizarre sky in Deadeye happens during sunrise at 6 a.m. also present on X360.

Anyone having problems with aiming using mouse and keyboard, I feel as if the game was almost designed to be used with aim assist, I'm having a really tough time with Undead Nightmare using keyboard and mouse getting headshots without deadeye. They should patch in aim assist as an option for mouse, it seems like the game needs it at times.

Menu page for the Undead Cowboy Outfit uses the Beta version of the artwork on PC.

This might be a Switch/PS4 issue too?

Okay, so just to add to this, I tried it today and there definitely seems to be an issue with vsync and aiming; not sure if I'm just missing most of my shots with vsync on because of the added delay vsync causes, but disabling it and running the game at a higher fps, makes the aiming pretty much flawless. I'm quite impressed by how much better it feels and how much more accurate everything is with triple buffering and vsync turned off, with it on it made it almost seem as if my shots were literally going in a different direction from my crosshairs.

Even then though, I do think they should at the very least patch the aim assist options for the mouse; but it's been a real good experience after unlocking the fps, disabling vsync & triple buffering, and running the game with the "high" preset; haven't experienced any crashes after my initial post in this thread either, pretty much 100% Undead Nightmare, and I'm around Mexico in the base game without any issues besides this vsync aiming thingy -apparently- delaying even the shots from the actual crosshair... it might just be my imagination and it's the added input lag what's killing me though.

Also, glad to see him back:

I like how the last setting says this:

Yet no matter how high or low this is, no grass shadows get enabled:

If I'm not wrong this setting description is very similarly worded in RDR2 so it's such a lazy moment if it was simply copied and pasted.

Grass shadows would really be nice to have though...
