Curtly is D-Ice's brother

The character Curtly appears in the credits. Why could it be D-Ice's brother?

 

1. Curtly is not mentioned anywhere. There is nothing left of him in the game files. At the same time, Darkel appears on the promo site and game files. Most likely Curtly acting minor character.

2. Rockstar selects actors who match their characters. For example, Asian actors were hired to voice Asuka and Kenji. Curtly was voiced by Curtis L. Mclaren, who is African American. This means that Curtly must be African American.

3. We don't know the actor who voiced DIcey's brother

4. D-Ice's brother is the only character in the game whose name we don't know.

5. Their voices are similar

At first I thought this was gonna be a crackpot theory but you make up some pretty good points. The only thing I need yet to do is find some of Curtis' voice clip samples and compare them but I'm trying to stay optimistic about this

I've theorised this in the past as well. I wouldn't rule it out. But the recording in GTA III is so low quality, and recordings of Curtis Mclaren are so scare, I can't really compare.

 

I will note though, there are some characters in the game with similar roles (just one-off lines that play during gameplay) that aren't listed in the credits. None of the characters in Marty Chonks' missions, or the Yardies in Uzi Rider are credited specifically for their roles.
