After Gangsta Bang Phone 4, I was directed to the bus?

Recommended Posts

Role-Play Walkthrough

I had already completed the coach bus vehicle mission the Speed inspired one, and I left the bus on the road after. Then way later when I finished Phone 4, after the shootout in the alleyway, the  message  (not the pager, but the usual mission message text) said “there’s a bus on the east side of fort law” (or wherever it is), and then even the yellow mission arrow popped up directing me to the bus.

When I got to it it was parked crooked because it was where I had left it earlier, and when I got in, there was nothing to do because I had already finished the bus mission earlier. The only way to make the yellow arrow disappear was to shoot the bus and blow it up.

is this supposed to happen? Is the bus mission usually tied to the phone 4 mission when you don’t complete it beforehand? I thought that was strange.

cant remember

After finishing all phone missions the game will start pointing to some of the secret parked car missions. It sounds like a glitch.

Maybe if you could replicate it, try if you can also fix it by getting into another secret mission car, that could also "reset" the arrow.

Ah okay that makes sense. It’s also interesting that the ps1 version keeps telling me about the nonexistent sports car under the railways, the car mission was removed but all the pages and dialogue and even an info pickup about it are left in. I wish this topic was more active lol it looks all the last 10 posts on here have been from me. I’ve just been getting into this game and really enjoying it and wish I could talk about it with someone.

How are you finding its differences to the later games, like no saving between missions, collectibles and most weapons not respawning, police busting you with one hit of their baton? Things like that. These are all completely removed in the later games. Also, how is the PS1 version? I played it on PC (Windows version) a few years ago.

I don’t really mind it because each chapter is not that long once you figure out where everything is. I’m loving it but I’m trying to figure out some info that nobody has ever posted online before like I was saying about the bonuses and things

It's basically a slightly worse version compared to the PC version. The NTSC version has simplified textures while the PAL version resembles the PC version more. It has much lower resolution (but if you upscale it in emulation it looks pretty much the same as PC), fewer parked cars, no trains and a couple of missions removed here and there.

Heh I get you, even within GTA community the 2D era games have become super niche. The thing that hits my special spot about GTA1 in particular is the topdown view that reminds me a lot of the televised police chases. When I first saw the game I thought it was like those shows but you get to control the criminal and I thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Yeah the manual even says that the overhead view of your crimes is provided by the “DMA News Chopper” haha

There was a much more active community for a number of years after the 2D universe games came out. There are old websites you can see on Wayback machine that have sections for organised GTA 2 online games.

It looks like the solution to this is just to destroy all the vehicles that remain on the map after completing their respective missions. Personally, I like to keep the Cossie and have Travis use it as his personal vehicle since it feels like an upgrade from the Bulldog, and you get it exactly halfway through the chapter. When I bring the cossie to the scene to murder the brother at the end of phone 4, the game doesn’t direct me to it so I guess that one doesn’t cause it.

that leaves the coach, the bulldog, and the tanker. For the coach I like to take it back to the port where it’s picked up, and dump it in the water. It makes sense that you would do that after the bomb is disarmed. For the bulldog, it’s the same car as the one you already have, and the mission has you immediately switch to another car. The other car though is close to the spot where you drop off the tanker, so what I do it arm the bulldog with a car bomb, then go drop it off in the alley where well later leave the tanker, so that way when I finish the tanker mission, I simply hop in the bulldog and arm it and walk away so the bulldog and the tanker both blow up

Да, вам придется либо уничтожить технику, связанную с этими миссиями, либо сначала завершить основные миссии, а миссии с техникой оставить на потом.

Haha, so I'm not the only one who destroys all the missions vehicles after the mission. I prefer to drown them in water, because when these machines explode, they can leave behind burnt remains that do not disappear.

Yeah I do that for the bus, and then for the bulldog and the tanker, I rig the bulldog at the bomb shop and blow it up next to the tanker in the alley
