Interesting how there aren't any AMD .dlls lmao (maybe they are built into the .exe but BRUHH)

Under "game" the structure is almost identical as it was on Switch, as I expected.

(Also nice of them to separate the game assets into their own folder, but I believe it could have worked "all in root" as well, could have been consistent to the other titles but why does it even matter lol)

The difference I can spot is how instead of say audio_switch.rpf etc it's d11generic. So they're naming PC d11generic lmfao :lmaokek:

"base" used to  be called "cero" on Switch and I assume it contains the censored stuff still. Maybe they wanted to make it harder to guess what it is for. Not really practical anyway i would say.

Rest seems absolutely the same. That's good at least.

Hmm actually one new archive:

"psocache.rpf"

Could be for shader stuff? idk

Looks pretty much the same as the PS4/Switch versions except PC specific stuff like the PSO cache stuff and so on.

I could be wrong, but looks like it is available for pre-load on Steam now?

Well if the rule is 20gb over and you're gonna make an exception... RDR1 is a good game to pick.

Hopefully it's more Steam/Valve moving away from that rule. As I said, pre-load and release times is Steam's weakness, they're gradually getting better, hopefully this is another part of that gradual process.

Against all odds, Steam preloads are indeed up. Anyone who goes through launches on Steam often, especially of smaller games, can tell you this is not common whatsoever not even for the big publishers lol.

Hopefully this is a sign tho as Jason said.

Just bought the game on Steam. I recently did a playthrough of RDR2 so it'll be great to get the conclusion of John's story this time, I haven't played this game in more than 10 years. :yee:

Prove that this is the PC version and not the PS4/Switch version opened with its CodeX custom plugin. Because usually RGL preloads are encrypted, unless they didn't care now? In which case fair game.

Also, the files are 100% the exact same between platforms, as me and a couple others have mentioned a few pages ago, all of the multiplayer scripts and assets are in the files in the PS4 and Switch versions, but if the .exe code is gone then RIP. If those are the PC files, they're the same as my PS4 dump, so yes, there is MP content, but if MP code is missing, no can do.

The file listing is always shown, it's the contents that are encrypted, and were for RDR2. With RDR2 you could *see* the files but the contents were encrypted entirely.

Are these the same files you're opening in CodeX or...?

Yes.

Guys do you think Double Eleven is now working on a GTA 4 port for PS4 and Switch? I'd assume they would move to that next after RDR for Switch, PS4 and PC.

Yes.

The exact same files appear on the Switch version which I just opened in MagicRDR (I don't have a compatible version of CodeX on hand, I don't think), including the .wsc extension. Considering that usually RGL files are fully encrypted, I was (and still am) having doubts that you were actually showing us the PC version.

e.g.

But again, if anyone else can see that the files are fully accessible that fair game, I guess they didn't care.

And you are right. Its the switch version. I choosed the folder but for some reason it wasnt saved in the tool. My bad.
But there is MP content in the switch version?

Yeah, knew that had to be the case :p Usually RGL preloads are encrypted.

Yes, there is MP content in both PS4 and Switch versions, a lot of the assets/scripts haven't really changed from the original that much. It remains to be seen if there's multiplayer code in the .exe

It was always a recommendation...

If there is MP stuff in the Switch version I see no reason to delete it for PC. Storage isn't an issue and it would require effort to remove that stuff with no side effects.

Leaving it also adds the benefit of allowing modders to restore MP functionality in some way.
