I don't see any mention of Vulkan api support anywhere? Does it mean their R* Games will be dx12 only?

It's gonna feature dx12 only upon release. Only time will tell if they're going to add Vulkan.

That train ride from Blackwater to Armadillo hits different all the time now after playing RDR2. I just imagine John deep in his thoughts while hearing the conversations around him during the Exodus In America intro

"Will this Jenny girl ever shut up?"

Man, yeah. The 29th is going to be my first time playing RDR 1 after beating 2 a few times. Everything is going to feel so different, story-wise. Especially considering how close the Epilogue in 2 places us to Ross tracking down John. RDR 2 might just be the best prequel-sequel of all time for me.

I wonder if the PS3 previously exclusive content like Solomon’s Folly will be included.

Double Eleven based all of their ports of the game off the original GOTY edition of the game, which had every piece of content even on the 360 version.

It's a definitive yes lol.

Correct if I'm wrong but I counted all the games on Steam Global Bestsellers and RDR is around #80 place. I told you guys the price is considered too high for PC players lol.

https://store.steampowered.com/search/?filter=globaltopsellers&os=win

I see it in position number 65.

Maybe it might be too early as the pre-orders only just started few days ago, sells might increase a bit more near its release? But yeh the price is a bit high..

Will buy it from selling my old steam game inventories..:kekw:

6 days have passed, if this was released back in 2020 I guarantee you it would already be in top #20 top sellers. $50 is not helping for sure.

"I try to avoid pre-ordering most games, except for the ones I'm incredibly hyped about, in order to avoid ending up with a game that still needs a few patches before it's fully playable. So, in the worst-case scenario, I wait a few days after the release to see how people are talking about it and if they're saying bad things, why.

Got the game on Steam and done some shopping on R* Warehouse lol

RDR1 dices are back in stock, but playing cards deck are gone now. I got the 2 deskpads for RDR2 as well

I can't wait to see mods for RDR1. My main focus is to restore cut content. Imagine being able to restore the casino on boat in Blackwater, or be able to ride with John wearing the marshal outfit...

Well, if I had the money I would buy RDR1, but I'll have to wait to get it on some promotion because it's very expensive, In 2019 I got excited and bought RDR2 on sale at Rockstar Launcher

Edit:

And also not to mention that I don't know if my PC will run well, only after that will I be sure to buy

Hopefully so. But at least these guys can be counted on to release updates, maybe quite quickly if something is serious. But fingers crossed it's going to run well on release.

Yeah I'm sure they'll be able to fix any possible issue quickly and I don't want to be pessimistic about this but still, it'd be quite a sad sight for the port of a 14-year old game on PC being a mess on launch.

I just hope the launch will be stable this time.

I don't know, maybe we should give them more time

Don’t get me wrong I’m over all happy it’s finally coming to PC.

I do still feel somewhat annoyed they kept silent about it when the new gen console ports came out.

They could have said, “a PC version is coming but it will take a bit longer to ensure stability on the wider array of hardware etc” and I’d have been very understanding. But no. Not a word.

One can only assume is that they hoped some poor saps might buy the game three times. And I was temped to get it again on console as the PS3 has been gathering dust in my parents loft for so many years. Playing RDR 2 did drive an urge to do the full story. Fortunately, I smelt a rat and held out, as I’d prefer to have my games on PC wherever possible.

Yes I am one of the mugs who buys R* games twice - on console and PC - but three times is where I draw the line!

Somewhere in this world, someone bought GTA SA six times.

Same here. I almost bought it on PS5 to be able to play at 4K60 but ever since the port came out and I saw it had FSR 2.2 I KNEW it was coming to PC eventually, it would be way too anti-climatic to release new versions for PS4 and Switch, designed for modern architecture, for high fps and resolutions, with most of the bugs fixed and not release it on PC. You can check the first ever thread here about a PC port being made after the 2023 console ports and I was there listing all the reasons it was coming eventually, I am SO glad I was right.

All I had to do was have some GODDAMN FAITH

Just that little bit of faith paid off. Nevertheless, it's marvelous to say that this game is finally on PC after 14 years of being a Console Exclusive Only. "Change will not come from the barrel of a gun, señor."

Story of this company's life when it comes to dealing with their PC playerbase. They're piss poor communicators, and that's cute when we're all waiting for a game together regardless of platform. But from GTA V to RDR 2, and now GTA VI? Rockstar purposefully omitting any info on their PC versions is incredibly frustrating. Even if some of those ports (like V and VI) might genuinely take longer on a purely technical level; being more transparent about it is the least they can do.

The fact that PC is even bigger now than it was when V came out (and it was very sizeable even back then) makes it all so much worse. Lots of people got into GTA V through the PC version specifically. The game practically never leaves Steam's top sellers. The RP and streaming scene boomed big time, to the point where Rockstar themselves took note. But here we are, doing the same song and dance with VI now. Gonna have to borrow a PS5 with the game just to avoid getting spoiled, because all of Rockstar's games are virtually impossible to escape coverage on for months after launch, lmfao.
