ArmanCan
I think my title is obvious but i need to explain more.. For example if a gtaforums member/moderator or admin has been deceased the parents/loved ones must notify the forums by using a notify button or send an e-mail so administration team can start the standart procedures.. Or alternatively the members/moderators/admins must request an e-mail to send someone so they can reply it and inform the team. In all cases the team must confirm if the member is still living.. If they don't get a response.. than.. they can start the process.. I don't have a specific thing to ask from you because i don't know how can it be applied properly but it seems it's a missing feature for this forum.. Tacymist
A grieving family shouldn't be obligated to notify a video game forum their loved one is deceased. Spider-Vice, ArmanCan and universetwisters

There isn't really any procedures or processes that take place when a member of the forums sadly passes away, they just have their account stay open and untouched. All my years on the forum, I know of probably 3/4 members who have passed away, and out of respect, my knowing is only because they were well known amongst the forums or certain areas (I believe a member of a modding group passed), or had people who chatted with them regularly and learnt of their passing through a family member etc due to the closeness. As @Tacymist said, and with respect, this is just a gaming forum, there is no real obligation or reasoning to do anything once a member passes. I was more into the "activeness" of any member, moderator or admins.. well.. admins and moderators are working as team for many years so they know each other very well and some of them are more connected.. I need to reach someone but i can not sure if he/she left this group or (unfortunately) passed away.. because of that i had to open this thread and explain little bit. There must be an automatic system to keep track of people's last activity and if.. for example.. six months passed from his/her last activity an automatic E-Mail should send to him/her for a confirmation. After one week of no response the moderators should "tag" him/her as.. like.. "not with us/offline"..as you said above the account will stay open and untouched.. with this way active forum members can easily recognise if the member is absolutely available or not. And of course the member can easily remove the tag and continue using this forum. This also can be done manually.. For example.. every two years the moderator team can send an E-Mail to everyone (It will similar to subscription extension) and wait for a reply.. uNi
When I die it's my wish for the admins to automate my account so it posts 'the office' gifs every couple of days into a random topic.
