GTA San Andreas (PS2) freezes during mission "Caesar Vialpando"?

I'm completing GTA San Andreas for the billionth time, but for the first time on the Playstation 2. In the mission "Caesar Vialpando", when I try to park my lowrider into the Willowfield garage, the game freezes just when I touch the red marker. The only way out of the frozen screen is turning off the console. Again, I'm playing on the PS2 and my game is unmodded. Does anyone have a solution for this issue? Thanks right away.
