Technical Prime
Since I am a Spanish-speaking player of this game, every time I watch a walkthrough of GTA IV, the detail of police radar radio always made me wonder of sort of many things. For example: "We have a shootout in Northern Cerveza Heights" - it happens in the English version of this game. "Back to next from East Island City" - it happens to me, they don't mention the neighborhood I am, they mention the police station nearby. Or "We have a vehicle on fire in east Varsity Heights" - English version "Back to next from Lancaster" - Spanish version In case anyone wonders, if you set in English language they mention the entire neighborhoods and streets of Liberty. While in Spanish they mention a few neighborhoods like: Firefly Island, Outlook Park, Downtown, East Hook, Boabo, Schottler, Beachwood City, Steinway, East Island City, Meadows Park, Willis, Northern Gardens, Chase Point, Fortside, Northwood, Lancaster, Middle Park, Hatton Gardens, Lancet, President City, Easton, Castle Gardens, Castle Garden City, Suffolk, Meat Quarter, Westminster, Tudor, Acter, Berchem, Alderney City and Leftwood. I don't know if they were cut for some reason. Hopefully soon I'll upload a video showing off what it means. Even an English playthrough you can hear how police scanner tend to be very specific: "We have a person resisting arrest in Albany Avenue, Lancaster" Spanish version of the game: "We have a person resisting arrest in Albany Avenue, East Lancaster" Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/998853-for-all-spanish-speaking-gta-iv-players-have-you-ever-noticed-this-difference-in-police-radio/#findComment-1072473310 Share on other sites
