Should RDR3 and GTA7 portray the same locations in different time periods?

Recommended Posts

Since 2022, after we knew that GTA6 takes place in Vice City (and other brand new locations), we got the knowledge that Rockstar may be remaking all the 3D Universe cities in the HD Universe, which makes a lot of us think that GTA7 will take place in Las Venturas, because of the Lucky Number 7 thing, and maybe the entire state of San Andreas as a whole while at it.

With this being said, most of the time I see people suggesting that RDR3 should take place in the "true" wild west again, not only "slightly" west of the Mississippi River (Lannahechee River), and the most western states in the USA are Washington, Oregon and California (San Andreas).

So what if Rockstar unites both ideas and makes both RDR3 and GTA7 take place in the same location during different time periods? Seeing cities like Las Venturas and San Fierro how they were 150 years ago (by 2040) and comparing them to how they are nowadays would be really interesting in my opinion, but you people may disagree for some reason.

I know that both games will be released many years away from now, but this discussion is a way to alleviate the boredom until Fall 2025.

yes san fierro is my favorite 3d era gta city. i would love to see it in gta 7 and rdr3. san francisco was an important city during the old west time period. so it could fill the big city role that saint denis has in rdr2. it had very dangerous places like the barbary coast. with opium dens and other shady stuff. there was also a horrible thing where people would be kidnapped and forced on ships to china. it's called shanghaied.

there is a show on netflix called warrior. it's set in the 1870s in san francisco. it's about the tong wars. it's like a red dead tv show if arthur and the gang were all martial arts fighters instead of gunslingers. it has gang wars, corrupt politicians, police drama, and even delves into the irish and their story. my profile picture on here is a picture of my favorite character from the show. i highly recommend anyone that likes red dead and martial arts to watch it. after watching that it made me want san fran in red dead so bad. and yes a modern day san fierro would be awesome too. i know watch dogs 2 is similar. but it just doesn't have that rockstar touch and magic.

I'll check it out bro, but yeah, this idea has crossed my mind recently and I liked it, not to mention that California also got other cities which still look like straight out of a western to this day, like Sacramento itself.

Edit: Damn... the show is good!

I would straight up go to a Home Depot and run headfirst into the first sharp object I see if I see Liberty City again, regardless of the year.

There's hundreds of thousands of different cities out there, why are we relegating ourselves to the same few over and over?

I just finished Episode 6, yeah, I kinda like him now too, after he defended the police chief from that ex-pinkerton.

I like Ah Sahm and Young Jun's bother-like bond so much, such a shame that they probably will turn against each other eventually because of his sister being from the enemy gang.
