New Players ?? anyone ? lol

Hi everyone I played GTA V when it came out but never paid attention to it after that, now thinking of purchasing it again in hopes of playing the online version. mainly I'm interested in the DLCs and the new missions and not that much when it comes to the multiplayer. 

 

Soooooo my question is, if I bought the game and started playing today. will I still get access to all older DLCs content and missions or just get the current one? 

 

sorry if it's a complete noob question but I'm not familiar at all with the game and the online content is more focused on people who have been playing the game.

Every DLC is free in GTA Online, so new accounts will have access to everything from day one.

The only thing that you may really "miss" is some cars... because R* thought "instead of remaking/redesign ingame websites where you buy cars we gonna delete them from there" 
Of course they probably knew which cars were "less popular" but that dosent change a thing that they get rid of many beautiful cars... even tho performance on some werent great its not alwayas about performance

There's still option to buy some old cars between some weeks in special places in GTAO but it's not like you have x amount of money ready and you can directly go to website and buy car

I'm a 55yo complete noob to GTA5/online...(I played vice city on an old xbox years back, but didn't care for the 3rd person play only and only completed a bit of the game). But yeah, I read that RS removed a ton of vehicles from the website, and I'm like WTH were they thinking? They already programmed/designed the cars, so what's the harm in keeping them? Surely they must know that a lot of players are really into buying and upgrading cars. I don't get it. I want a Grotti Carbonizzare pretty bad (it's removed, but NPC's are driving them) and have been trying to hook up with a few players at the LSCM that still have one. It makes no logical sense, but knowing RS, there must be a financial reason to get rid of them. And it's not like they're out of space or something...and if they were, they could just get rid of the failed Arena Wars and keep all the cars...go figure.

 

Anyone have any guesses as to why they did this?

It creates an element of "Fear of missing out" on cars that are otherwise unremarkable. Newer players will look at Simeons dealership, see a car he's never seen because it was removed, wants it, buys it and maybe hopefully buys a shark card in the future because he now spent money on something he normally wouldn't pay any attention to. It makes Simeons, Ls car meet a reason to exist, increases player engagement, pad out event weeks and maybe sells more cards in the future. It's simple really.

Make some sense to me. But wouldn't it be easier for RS to grab IRL money by making these cars "Classics", "Rare" or something similar and asking a higher price for them on the website? Just add a new tab to LMS for "Classics" or something? It'd at least be more realistic. They're actually making it harder for people to spend cash on cars, if they wanna sell shark.

I mean they could do that for literally anything could they? Cans of soda for 100k each? Yeah T2 shareholders foam at the thought, but I'm pretty sure that's literally illegal.
