Ah yes, the infamous LithJoe Garage editor...  Gotta love it.

On the garage editor I think we could do with a "NONE" selection.  Some garages are too small to hold the 4 cars, so it defaultly selects Infernuses as opposed to nothing at all.

you can fit most the stuff in the garages no problem, it'll strighten up the cars the best it can to fit them in for you. the 'hidden packages.g3l' file is for use with the teleporter, has all 100 locations in it, not as fun as collecting them yourself, but if your lazy... also nice to get to some of them remote places, you might want to rename some of the descriptions though ;).

Yeah, to fit the cars in the garage I'm just sticking PCJs in the corners just to satisfy the slot on the trainer.

 

And you said you're fixing the slot alignment in the trainer?  I noticed that everytime I hit "Write" to set my new cars, all my alignments go away.  Especially at the Hyman Condo on the 1st garage, the cars are just all thrown together and 1 is stabbing into the wall...

the alignments not prefect in all the garages (there are alot to setup ;P) so you might find an odd slot that has a crooked car, most of them are fine though shouldn't have many problems with it, if any big issues come up that i missed i'll fix it for the next version. just email me with details..

keep up the good work

also with the garage editer, why dont u add a color coder thing, so u can add your own colors to cars? like editing the carcol's file just a billion times quicker and easier.

 

what i mean by that is like since vice only has its few colors to select from, the program can allow the user to maybe make his cheetah 100% red so he would open it and type

Red : 255, green: 0, Blue: 0

and so on

wow this will help me a bunch because i can't find the last one even with illspirit's aroura borealis mod :/   it will take a while thought to teleport through all the places.  btw when you teleport, do you spawn on top of the package or near it?  

 

and will the teleport function make the game unstable and increase the possibility of the game crashing like the one in gta3?

ooooh this trainer's brilliant, except there's a few things that don't work... jetpack and flip car (L-Shift+1)... Could this be because I'm running windows 98?

if you have problems with some hotkeys not working on win9x/me then simply redefine them. i will look into why this happens only on 9x/me but its not so easy as i dont have access to a machine running anything less than NT. I'll try and get it sorted for next release.

Yes tyres can still be popped but tab-4 (health cheat) will reinflate them for you, also, i will add indestructable tyres in the next release as part of the 'damage proof car' cheat.

 

Also, as 1.1 is an unsupported patch i don't feel i can find the time to support it myself in the trainer.

vc crashes whenever I use any of the INFINITE cheats;

same thing happend with v1.

 

never happend with your trainers for GTA3 though...

yup vice city crashes when I use any of the infinite cheats AND also when I use the jetpack..

Lithjoe, before you sort the tyre thingie out on the next version, you can also shoot the windscreens on cars that have damage proof! Thought I'd point that out :D

If you don't feel like releasing the code, can you add a special mission code generator to it ? Like, you put some code into a "win32 multiline edit control" like this:

:FaggiochkPoint[number]00D6: if  0?0038:   $FaggioChkPoint ==  [number]&004D: jump_if_false £FaggiochkPoint[number+1]0005: $FchkPointX =  [x]!0005: $FchkPointY =  [y]!0005: $FchkPointZ =  [z]!0002: jump £CreateNewchkPoint:FaggiochkPoint[number+1]

You then start VICE and everytime you press a key, the code generator replaces [number] with a number set elsewhere that grows and [x] [y] [z] is replaced with the coordinates of the player. The resulting code is added to another "win32 multiline edit control" so you get this in that after pressing a key 5 times:

With this, you can create entire missions by simply pressing a key and moving around.  :cool:

You need to implement a give smoke grenades code. I am pissed off that PS2 fans got smoke grenades and we didnt. Whenever i want to use the smoke grenades, i have to put in a different main.scm and start a new game. And that is no fun.

 

PS: the main.scm puts them behind the police station. If you want the main.scm, please PM me.

the problem with the infinite ammo/armor/health only occurs on win9x, as i no longer have access to a 98 machine (and neither should anyone else ;)), its gonna be tricky for me to fix, i'll recode how these cheats work in the next version and hope that fixes it.

Hey Lith,

 

Great Trainer.

 

I am using WINME and the inf cheats also freeze for me.  This is the only thing I wish can be fixed.  All the other ones work...no police, weapons.

 

Don't understand it.

 

and I am not using 1.1

Well I think the problem might occur for ME, too.

 

From what I can tell,  Win 9x and ME have a lot in common.  Whenever you download drivers, programs, etc that are OS specific, they ALWAYS come as  "Win 9x/ME" together.

I know about that mod. I dont like it becase you HAVE YO START A NEW GAME! I know with a trainer, you wolud not have to place them anywhere, so no need for a new game.
