GTAIV: Simply unable to get GTAIV to launch with 2DFX installed, with a downgraded 1.0.7.0 - What's the issue?

Hey guys,

Using 1.0.7.0 (downgraded version of the latest GTAIV..

Following the steps to instal 2dfx, but launching PlayGTAIV, nothing happens.

Has anyone encountered this issue? i've tried just about everything, spent days on this.

The ONLY way the game launches, is when i delete the 3 IVLODLights files. (So that 2dfx is not installed)..


EDIT:

After testing some old files, looks like Fusion Fix just doesn't work with downgraded versions of GTAIV...

If you go on their respective GitHub pages, you'll see that both mods are compatible only with the Complete Edition (version 1.2.0.30 and above).

Is there a particular reason as to why you want to remain on 1.0.7.0? Unless you want to use a very specific mod and/or play multiplayer, old versions don't have any benefit. Plus most of the modding scene these days is around CE.
