good citizen bonus

If a cop is running after someone and you go and knock him out (not kill him) you get a good citizen bonus.

is that true?

Well, they're not going to join your gang if you keep spamming their inbox and you get banned for it, now are they?

Yup, it's true. IF you hit the Ped, not kill him, you get a $5 bonus..not a lot, but handy I gues... :p Go try it.. it works!

I discovered this by myself when I first purchased Vice City for the PC.

One note, however. I'm sure that you've all read the reviews, praising Vice City for its innovative gameplay and tons of extra features. Well, one point mentioned was that the police chases other pedestrians, not just yourself.

This is somewhat untrue, since the cop chasing a thug is a randomly occuring event, and is not the result of a crime commited by the thug. For example, if an NPC (non-player character) runs over a group of pedestrians, it will not receive a wanted level for it, as opposed to Tommy. So really, a random cop chasing a criminal is just random eye-candy, and an extra bonus for some quick cash.

Minigun_Fiend (FK)

This is probably a teeny bit off subject, but you can get into a coach and if you stop at one of the stop signs (little black sign posts with pictures on) then people get on board and pay you $5. It is worthless really, but interesting.

I was little dissapointed to find the cops only chased criminals on foot. From what I read before VC came out on PS2 it almost implied that the cops would chase them in car chases aswell which I thought (and still think) would be really awsome. It would be great to see a swat team chasing some other poor jerk for a change instead of ramming into me.

...you could follow the whole thing from you heli and pretend to make a news copter or something. :D
