Use Open Limit Adjuster that i gave you + use the mods he gave a download link to. Fastman92 is conflicting with the OLA, so uninstall the F92.

Optional Mods are allowed, however if you use mods that are required in order to play your mission then that's when mods are considered not allowed!

@galic0 your mission is unplayable without the limit adjuster, so i'll ask you to edit your mission so it'll be playable without mods, i can extend a day if needed ! lmk

Excuse me? I've paricipated in 2 MOTW's so far (both victories), all of them requiring a Limit Adjuster (OLA/F92), had no problems with the moderators. Hell, did you even consult them upon removing my entry?

And like Martin said, it's 2024, 20 years after the game's release, yet you don't use what is essentialy a must have addon for any mods or anything to work properly.

for me i careful design mission with no limit adjuster so it dont crash for 90% player. espesial for joshimuz cos i very like to see him play my mission

Knowing that DYOM is here for ages, it's safer and more convenient to design long missions with Limit Adjusters. f*ck knows when it's gonna crash or some wacky things are about to happen.

yes everyone uses it including me, but there's some people who don't, so they won't be able to play the mission without it, and this goes against motw rules

TayK, it's not that easy to fix an entire mission because some people don't have a working limit adjuster...

actual i think its easy to fix with DYOM editor by Miran. i try to fix it so its in playing state without limit adjuster and i can play to end now! here is fix download. @galic0 you can use this to new upload if you wanna.

 

so DYOM tip for everyone, do not spawn too many object or actor too fast and hide object or actor you dont see + use anymore.

I honestly think the team should reconsider and start making an exception to the No Mods rule, as it's stopping creativity and making designer lives hell, it's not 2009 anymore. We shouldn't get top-notch missions scrapped over some ancient rule that has been breached, time and time again, OLA should be allowed and made an exception out of it, almost everyone got a limit adjuster and modloader installed nowadays, MOTW should get with the times and make OLA the only exception to the rule.

While the technical rule which @AnDReJ98 now wants to enforce is understandable, it potentially does more harm than good in the grand scheme of things. Presumably, if I were to make an educated guess on Andrej's position, the idea is that technically critical mods like OLA shouldn't be allowed in order for all users to universally play the missions on the base game without potential problems (cosmetics like textures and skins being non-critical hence optional). This has a few problems.

 

While that makes sense on the surface, it's important to note that MOTW isn't really a mainstream type of competition with traffic numbering in the hundreds (which would make a lot more sense to enforce this). On the contrary, nowadays it appears to be a contest that is frankly on life support all thanks to the most dedicated designers remaining in the community. It would not be smart to take away what quite literally helps these same designers create in-depth and creative projects, let alone OLA just being a strictly technical game limitations editor.

 

I've played @galic0's mission and I think it would be a real waste to have a great mission like that wash out of the contest because of a rule that is being enforced just now (and, surprisingly, hasn't been consistently enforced for a very long time prior to this particular contest).

 

At the bare minimum, Open Limit Adjuster should be allowed in future contests and galic0's entry reinstated in MOTW #243.
