Gant Bridge Unique Jump (Definitive Edition)

Hi all,

Has anyone been able to get the Gant Bridge stunt jump in San Fierro *before* the desert is unlocked? There’s an invisible barrier that can be passed using exploits on the PS2 version (there are a few YouTube videos) but these don’t seem to work in the Definitive Edition.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

try ROCKETMAN during the first INTRO cutscene.. if it works it may unlock the whole bridges but it is going to manipulate/mess the flow (story chain).. I can only ADVISE you to do this for testing purposes..

Thanks, I'll give that a go - curious to see if it works.

 

Probably not useful for my purposes though as this is for a master save (I know the jumps aren't required for 100%) and I want the 'Time Cheated' stat to remain at zero ;o)

i think you already know that destroying the mission BMX (from Big Smoke Mission) with submerging to the water by satchel charges removes the invisible collision for a short time.. you should also test it too

Tried that too, and satchel charging Sweet’s car in a later mission. Neither work, alas.

 

Interesting thing I discovered though: Tried to bait chasing Hydras in to flying in to the invisible bridge barricade (it’s huge, hundred feet up) but they *always* go round. No idea why because when the bridge is unlocked they do indeed fly between the towers!

i think they either patched this glitch or wrote a totally different script.. It is easy to remove barriers and enable this jump (and even replace this USJ with a custom one) on OG version but unfortunately i have less knowledge about DE..

Talking about aircrafts.. have you ever tried to steal police helicopter from the navy ship? It's easy to steal from there..

and getting a Hydra..
