skimmar
hello! i have been suffering some issues in my game save file for some reason. when i try to load the save file on my modded game it loads then crashes when the game blacks out after the loading screen. on a normal unmodded gta version with only the essentials pack downloaded it comes up as "save game corrupted" i tried gtasnp.com and it says "could not determine game type" i tried a savegame editor but it says that its not a gta san andreas pc savegame. can anyone try and help me fix it i spent 2 days on it and i dont want my progress to be lost (around 90% completion) heres my save file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/thr50t17j4f0ejf/GTASAsf1.b/file Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/996336-my-savefile-is-broken/ Share on other sites
Solution Samutz Posted March 19 Solution Share Posted March 19 It probably crashes on an unmodded game because it was created by a game with fastman's limit adjuster installed. The limit adjuster increases the amount of data the game can handle, but can also increase the amount of data saved to the save file. It also adds some markers (such as fastman_pickups) in the save data that an unmodded game cannot read. The pickups block in your save is about 462 KB, which is massive and not normal for unmodded SA. Gtasnp.com won't accept the save because it's over 600 KB. A normal SA save is 198 KB. The save editor maybe won't accept it for the same reason, or because it doesn't know how to handle the limit adjuster data. If you want to use the save again, you'll have to at least reinstall the limit adjuster, and possibly any other mods you may have used when it was created. Samutz
Sorry, I can't really help with troubleshooting mods as I rarely use them. Seeing as how GTA Mixed does more than install the limit adjuster, you might be better off installing Mixed on an unmodded copy of the game instead. I would advise not installing Essentials Pack unless you used that too with Mixed. Since the save was created with Mixed, you might want to ask for help in the mod's thread instead. They also have a discord server apparently, but I haven't seen a link for it.
