1.4.5 UPDATE is going to be released on JUNE 1

This update is going to be huge and here is its changelog -

Map Work/Changes

- Added Beta Chestone
- Added Beta Cordillera Expansion (north)
- Added Beta Goldenfare
- Added Beta Gators Keys
- Added Vice City
- Added Miss Liberty
- Added carcer City
- Liberty City fixed with textures from the 1998 beta
- New Cheyenne expansion
- Improved Independence City
- Added Yellowstone
Script Work/Changes
- Added New Hud
- Improved Liberty City enex and Fixed elevated bridge
- Re-written gta.dat
- Added interior for  frost water and rose city
- Added enterable hidden interiors
- main.scm can now be decompiled
- Added Sandbox mode
- All the activities in the game is usable,
- Game Starts with 30K$ and decent clothes and a car
- Added lots of Hospital restarts after getting wasted, that means if you die in -  -- Rose City, you will spawn in rose City hospital.
- Added lots of Police Departmant restarts
- Map Icons are now tied to main.scm
- Added functional Car washes to various places in map
- Added lots of Police Departmant restarts after getting busted, thst means if you get busted in rose City, you will spawn in roce City police Department

- S&S version 1.4.5 is now shown in discord rpc
- Cesar's garage is now a mod-shop.

- Doherty Garage is now enterable (not interactable)
- 2-Player Rampage mode and a few more activities now shows up on radar. And they have their "Legend" texts..

 Problems
- Cars on double lane highway have wierd direction ( reason - known)
- Cars don't follow traffic lights ( reason - known and lazy to fix)
- Cars drive in forbidden zones like forest (reason - known)
- This is very early traffic paths so it may have alot of bugs but we are aware of them and their fixes

Hello. This is the first time I communicate in any way about Stars and Stripes.

To me it was a good decision for you to have a Thread here, and I am glad you decided to do so.

First of all, I want to say that I am absolutely shocked how good the progress is and how beautiful the map already is at this point.

It will be the ultimate GTA:SA map mod. I will use it when the biggest holes in the map are filled, which seems to be already so soon when I observe that progress.

Still I will keep a secondary setup of SAxVCxLC because that one has a special place in my heart, but that is beside the point.

 

I want to thank you for that great mod, but I am also here to just ask and kind of give my opinion, if I don't sound entitled doing so, I hope.

Please understand that I write this with the biggest respect, and I will accept whatever you offer, because I trust your work and it is incredibly good.But let's go:

 

Statue of Liberty:

I think I am not the first person to ever say this, I saw it a few times in YouTube comments, but I feel like that Statue of Liberty is too high quality.
I don't know why it seems like it, maybe it is the huge contrast from especially GTA III to that Model, because even within that 3D era there have been differences. For example I think the Statue of Liberty fits perfectly to San Andreas parts of the map, because they are in general a bit higher in quality, poly or how it is called. But for Liberty City from GTA III it just seems a bit too high quality.

It's not even like I have a good idea what else to replace it with, but this is just what I wanted to say.

 

Radios:

I appreciate the Radios, they are very good and the choice of Music is perfectly fitting to GTA in general and to that era of time.

But the Radio Announcers often have a very strong accent. I think it's like eastern European or Brazilian accent.

If you compare the Radio Announcers to these from the original GTA games, you will see there is a very big difference in vibe and feel, when the announcer doesn't have that American accent (which is often even totally over the top, but that is done intentionally).

In one YouTube comment someone said, that one or the other American player will gladly offer to read these lines with with a high quality microphone, and with the American accent that would fit to Stars and Stripes, and I think this person is right. I think you will find easily someone to record it, but the question is of course, if you even want to replace it or if you want to keep it as it is.

 

Also there is a special thing that I wonder about.  I didn't check it in game, but I saw in the official Radio uploadon YouTube, that there are some foreign Radio Stations that have Music from very rare immigrant populations in America.

For example the Balkan music, I really wonder why it has been added? It is funny of course and is great music to drive with 5 wanted stars in a tractor.. 🤣

But I am not sure if there were even so many Balkan Radios in America back then, and if there are even so high populations of Balkan immigrants.

What I mean is, the major immigrant populations is Latino and Italian, maybe Chinese too. So I think even Chinese Radio would fit in more than Balkan, at least for that period of time.

EDIT: About the Balkan Radio, I think I am wrong. There always were Balkan immigrants in America and the Radio makes sense. But why I was worried is, because I thought it will be on the whole map, because that will make no sense. But if the Balkan Radio is similar to Radio Del Mundo only in some very concentrated and international area such as New York / Liberty City, that will make sense.

For example, Radio Del Mundo makes perfect sense what Rockstar did, because in New York live many people from the countries that have their songs in Radio Del Mundo. But for example to put Hindi or Arabic songs into deep into the country would be very unrealistic. And same will be with Balkan Radio. It will fit in international areas. But maybe that is exactly what you have done already? As I said, I didn't test it at all. I just saw the Balkan Radio on YouTube and wondered "How will that fit into the American province where basically nobody except CWMYHB1 and his cousins live?"

 

GTA Vice City Stories version of Vice City?

This one is rather a question, because I didn't check it myself.

But do you use the GTA Vice City Stories version of Vice City? If not, that would be so cool, because the night lights especially in Down Town and the bridges are definitely much better than in the original Vice City.

i love this mod, nice name also because ive seen this a million times and never clicked on it thinking it was a cop mod or something.

this is awesome that it be cool if you could hit up rockstar for official permission and some help.

this is very ambitious, if i was good with the map creator in rzl trainer, i would fill up this empty spots and send them to you but i suck lol.

if you dont mind me asking but why did you take modloader out?

is it just because not many mods worked? i added ginputsa in for the controller, that one works.

i love the rzl trainer being in though because thats what i use.

this mod is so awesome, i wish i could help.

about the little spots of water on the map, maybe you should delete the water up until you get to the spot and then put the land around it the leftover water so then the water won't be solid, I'm not sure if it works like that but i noticed the water deleted in little squares.

its kind of cool to see this development, it seems like what the game was like when rockstar made it.
