Roman's depot gets repaired late game??

I was bored and loaded a savegame that's story complete. It's strange but the apartment and taxi depot are no longer charred. The door to the apartment is locked but the outside looks normal and the taxi depot is normal too (though no npc's or anything in it).

 

Is that something new I missed? I checked another, slightly earlier save where I was doing missions for Jimmy Peregrino and the taxi depot is accessible there too.

Roman's Taxi Depot is repaired by the time Chinatown Wars takes place, which is an interesting development decision for sure.

Are you playing on PC using mods by any chance? Roman's apartment and cab depot stay destroyed for the remainder of the game and corrupted save files tend to be the cause of this. I've noticed a while ago that ColAccel also causes this so you might want to check if that's the case.

It's the vanilla game, last version from the R* launcher. I guess corrupted save makes sense though I don't remember when/how it got like that.

TBF Gta Chinatown wars takes place a year after Gta IV. Someone simply could have just bought it and built it back up again.

Also in the game, Alderney is just missing with no ingame explanation, so i wouldnt take chinatown wars world completely into canon.
