Casino Debt Bug/No phonecall after Badlands

Heyo, my friend was playing GTA:SA with the Chaos mod, one of the effects made him go in to debt, later while still in debt he got teleported to LV which activated two loan shark calls. This was all before he finished the last mission of the Badlands section, Farewell My Love. After completing it he wasn't receiving the phone call from Truth which would activate SF.

 

After searching why, I found these two posts that mention a bug that if you receive these debt calls before you finish a certain section of the game you get softlocked:

None of them have a fix for the bug and I haven't been able to find any other information on it. Please help.

You have explained the issue clearly and I understand the problem.

 

I think I have a fix ready for you that will work for standard v1 or v2 scripts, but it's untested and I'm a bit out of practice. Also, there are no safeties to assure the script only runs during the Badlands strand, and the script doesn't check to make sure the phone script isn't already active. Make sure you keep a backup save in case something goes wrong.

 

Install CatFix to the cleo folder and execute by typing CATFIX like a button cheat code.

A message should report if the fix is made or an unknown main.scm is found.

Please report if the script works as expected, and which main.scm version you are using.

If the script gives you any trouble then please upload your save to GTASnP.com and post the link here so I can run my own tests.

Heyo, thank you so much! Yes it works perfectly just as advertised, no problems as far as the eye can see. Funny thing, my friend downloaded your CallFix a week before to fix another issue he was having, once you responded I was wondering if you were the same person who made that one, lo and behold you are! What a coincidence, I can't believe you are still around after so many years helping with the same phone call bugs. God bless you bro, you're a real saviour
