Weekly Event (22nd Feb 2024) - Introducing the Declasse Impaler SZ, Bonuses on Casino Story and Work, Vincent Needs Our Help Soon & More!

Recommended Posts

Spider-Vice

This week and until 28th February, The Diamond Casino & Resort is offering bonuses for helping out Agatha Baker and associates with managerial chores in Casino Story and Work Missions, alongside Casino Adversary Mode Bonuses, the totally inconspicuous, not at all cop car-looking Declasse Impaler SZ is coming, and Vincent has joined the LSPD and may need our help!

Remember this is just a preview, and information may change. On top of that, Rockstar may reserve things for their own Newswire.

We understand that not every Event Week will be to everyone's liking, some will certainly be more exciting than others, but anyway...

Let's get started!

Vincent Joins the LSPD! And He May Need Our Help Again!

Over the years, the Diamond Casino & Resort has seen its share of action - whether that is players literally losing all of their money by betting it on the strangest horse they could find, getting drunk at the bar without even touching any of the gaming machines (that they remember at least!), seeing the happiest and saddest of customers at the Lucky Wheel... and a takeover by the Duggans... and massive heists... and his unfortunate firing as the Head of Security of the Diamond Casino & Resort. He was great and meant well you damn capitalist, oil-drinking pig- ...anyways.

It appears that our dearest Vincent has found a gig with the Los Santos Police Department, and has been assigned his first big case - a case which he needs our help with soon! Rumour has it it's quite a tasty case, and he will be giving us a call, starting tomorrow, 22nd February, but we won't be helping him just yet, as he needs some time to put things together.

Declasse Introduces the Impaler SZ - Totally Not a Cop Car!

Back in the 1960's, Declasse released the original version of the Impaler, a muscle car that was for those who couldn't get the latest and greatest, who didn't want to feel... impaled by debt and credit payments, but would be just fine with getting impaled by a lamp post at high speed, or perhaps a rock in a random mountain. The original Impaler was quite the machine regardless, and it appears that Declasse is doubling down by releasing a brand-new, Sedan-ised version of it!

Now, you might be saying - "whoa, was this stolen from the LSPD abandoned car compound?" and for all I know, you could be right, but it is what is dropping on stores, and it seems to be quite the multifaceted one - a drag racer! As Southern San Andreas Super Autos themselves put it, it's the "simple solution for serious drag racers who want to go from Point A to Point B", so even if it is a repurposed cop car... perhaps it's being used for what it was really meant to be used!

Declasse Impaler SZ available on Southern San Andreas Super Autos for GTA$1,280,000

Celebrate Vincent with Bonuses on Casino Story and Work Missions and the Diamond Adversary Series

If you miss Vincent's appearance at the Diamond Casino & Resort, Agatha Baker might have some interesting propositions for you this week - all for twice the money - money you won't spend at the Diamond Casino, right? Right. Go against the oil tycoons once again and help keep the Diamond away from their literally dirty paws.

Should you want to blow off some heads and unload any gambling frustrations, or perhaps finally realise your fantasy of absolutely destroying the Casino because the Lucky Wheel keeps giving you clothes - now's your chance for triple.

  • 2x GTA$ and RP on Casino Story Missions
  • 2x GTA$ and RP on Casino Work Missions
  • 3x GTA$ and RP on the Diamond Adversary Series

Discounts

If you already own a Penthouse at the majestic Diamond Casino & Resort, then this is the week to get your decorator hat on, with discounts on Penthouse Decorations to add a little bit of flair to every nook and cranny. A cute Epsilonist raccoon? A strange alien girl holding a phone probably wondering what is happening? Sprunk-man on your walls? It's all on a discount.

If your thing is more cars, you can also add some flair to several eclectic choices of vehicles on sale this week, from offroaders, to Sports Classics and more - all returning to showrooms this week.

For those who are members of Los Santos' VIP club GTA+, you'll get your typical Gun Van discount - noted in a Rockstar-like colour.

Until 28th February:

30% off

  • Penthouse Decorations
  • Enus Paragon R (R)
  • Annis Hellion (R)
  • Übermacht Zion Classic (R)
  • Vapid Peyote Gasser (R)

Gun Van:

  • 25% off: Heavy Rifle
  • 30% off: Advanced Rifle (available for everyone, discounted on GTA+)

Miscellaneous

Salvage Yard Vehicles & Robberies

Each week, Jamal and Yusuf Amir find some brand-new vehicles for you to source for your Chop Shop, and for Jamal to perhaps plaster all over Snapmatic and other social media. This week, check out the following propositions:

  • The Podium Robbery - Bravado Buffalo EVX
  • The Cargo Ship Robbery - Declasse Mamba
  • The Gangbanger Robbery - Weeny Issi Rally

The Diamond Casino & Resort Lucky Wheel

Word seems to be spreading around the Diamond that their dear Vincent has finally gotten a new gig, and apparently with the LSPD! Rumour has it that he's been given a case all for himself, and most members of staff at the Diamond couldn't be happier. This includes Felipe, of course, who has helped wheel in this SUV for the Lucky Wheel. One that is perhaps underrated and not noticed by many, but one that was introduced around the time that the Diamond started getting robbed, so he'll have some... perhaps not pleasant memories about it.

This week, check your chakras, perform your prayers, rituals, séances and more, spin the Lucky Wheel, and an Übermacht Rebla GTS might be yours.

LS Car Meet Prize Ride

All the LS Car Meet tuner-izens can think about is the upcoming Declasse addition to their catalogue at the moment. A brand-new drag race-optimised vehicle, right after those are now officially sanctioned by the Car Meet is a dream come true to a good handful of folks in there who haven't seen many new Tuners go into the shop recently.

Speaking of going into the shop, this week the Slamtruck has a self-described "avant-guard" addition on its top, and it will be all yours just for racing minimally competently! Place Top 5 in the LS Car Meet Series for three days in a row to win the Ocelot Pariah.

For testing and/or buying this week:

  • Declasse Vigero (R)
  • Vapid Bullet (R)
  • Invetero Coquette (R)

Head on over to Hao's desk on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 to see what he's going to be up to this week. Another bit of a change of pace for Hao, this week he's working on a modern Muscle car by Declasse - the Declasse Vigero ZX HSW. All yours for testing, upgrading or buying.

Premium Deluxe Motorsports

  • Vysser Neo (R)
  • Enus Paragon R (also 30% off) (R)
  • Annis Hellion (also 30% off) (R)
  • Übermacht Zion Classic (also 30% off) (R)
  • Vapid Peyote Gasser (also 30% off) (R)

Luxury Autos

  • Declasse Impaler SZ
  • Fathom FR36

Time Trials and Premium Races

This week across the state of San Andreas, find the following time trials and premium race. The Regular Time Trial is on double this week, for all adrenaline-seeking drivers.

  • Motorcycles Premium Race: A Sign of Things to Come
  • Regular Time Trial: Storm Drain
  • HSW Time Trial: North Chumash to Palomino Highlands

Weekly Challenge

Starting with the Chop Shop DLC, citizens all across the state now don't only have a few daily objectives to perform, but also a weekly challenge. Help out Agatha Baker with some tasks in Casino Work to earn GTA$100K.

  • Complete 3 Casino Work Missions

GTA Hurricane

An ok week. Not the greatest week to farm money, but the new car and 4000 RP (or 8000 RP with GTA+) a pop for casino work is pretty good.

I think there was something related to it in patch notes. At least I did not have problems doing them on PC.

That Impaler is a car that would have been 40k at the start of the game and now it's 1.2M

Back then we did contact missions for 20k and bought the bullets. Now just the passive income is probably multiple times that.

Well, semi-passive income, you still need to sell them. But we are getting enormously more money. Not in relation to the price hikes, but people that have played for ages should have pretty comfortable financial standing at this point, and no need to buy everything, all the guns, businesses, garages and houses...

Before anyone mentions the "update" wording on the Newswire I don't think it's an actual update, rather a larger content drop (the raid) that they sometimes call updates too. Everything is in the files so it won't need a title update.

It’s annoying that Rockstar calls it a new update.

Technically it's not incorrect, it is a content update in the sense that it's new content, but the hardcore part of the community thinks of updates as patches so in that sense it's a bit of bad wording and should probably have been reworded in a different way, because it certainly won't be a patch.

For the casual player it's worded fine, but for most people on here, Reddit, etc, "updates" = patches so there should've been a bit more care in wording that to at least avoid commentary from the actual community. I guess it's kind of how they worded Drug Wars Last Dose as well?

I'm assuming the bug for the final casino work mission, Tour De Force, has never been fixed. If someone knows something different, please post an update.

Also, I've never been able to get the Department of Defense work mission. I assume I have to be further from the casino for it to trigger, but it has never happened for me. It seems like some of these work missions occur way more frequently than others. Are there certain locations that can trigger different work missions or it's just rng?

It hasn't. The code still refuses to trigger if you've declined the mission.

This mission has been removed.

The distance checks have been removed a while ago. As well as the time of day. It's simply RNG deciding which variation/mission you receive.

This.  A while  back I had a discussion with someone on here about favorite and least favorite game additions.  When I googled a list, every single game addition was listed as a separate update.  Some insist on labeling stuff drip feed and attaching it to the previous "update."  That is your choice.  But any time they add content to the game, that is an "update."  This to me is semantics and instead a discussion about the size of the content we get (some people still haven't adjusted to the concept of smaller updates) and when it is released is a better way to conceptualize this discussion.

Yeah but it has turned the game into a separate job. The internal currency was artifically inflate dto do nothing more than increase card sales. The same cards cost the same money and give you the same in-game vallue but the products themselves are vastly more expensive.

Back in the day we did contact missions and you could buy a car after a few. You could do ten contact missions and end up with a good car. Now you have to spend tens of millions on businesses that you then need to run and deal with in order to buy a car that costs million(s) and was 1/20th the cost previously.

A coat costs 70k, a mask 60k, a gun used to be 40k and now the new guns are half a million. It's stupid.

I remember the first time I hit a million. Felt like a king. Now I make a few million a day and it means nothing. I have 99M in the bank and don't care. Reduce the costs, reduce the prices and make the game worth doing. If a car comes out and it looks like a family car and costs 4 times what a turismo cost then it holds no value. If the new cars came out and making 2million meant a lot of work and hustle to get it, then you feel like you made something, you drive that car and show it off.

As it stands, we all have fleets of vehicles and never even use them.

With 3x being on all the Diamond Adversary Modes, it's a good time to inch closer to that 25 Played Challenge.  Also, is Rockstar doing more than 2 Updates a year again?  I do miss the monthly DLC's and bug fixes.
