valentine for me. it feels the most alive and it has a lot to do. and chapter 2 is the best chapter in the game for me. there is always something going on here. and the npc variety is great. also the saloon is the best of the three. it even has a second smaller one too. i just feel at home here. the heartlands has to be my favorite place in the whole red dead series.

brimstone is cool. but there isn't much to do. i wish we could watch shows at the theater. if it was in rdr2 with all the detail and if the game was open world then i think it would be a lot better.

armadillo is great for nostalgia. but when i go there now it doesn't feel nearly as alive as valentine. i still love the desert surroundings and atmosphere. but it just doesn't beat valentine.

Valentine is a nice town, and really does feel like an early midwest town.

That said, I think I have to play a little bit of a contrarian and go with RDR1's Armadillo. It's an actual western town, plus I really like how well realized the grim tone of RDR1 was. Everything really does capture that "the Wild West on its deathbed" feeling to it.

For me it's definitely Armadillo. It feels the most like a wild-west town to me.

Brimstone is also very cool but a bit underdeveloped. It has an amzing wild-west feel to it though.

Valentine is awesome and it's probably a very close 2nd favorite of mine next to Armadillo.

I think Armadillo is a bit more memorable since youre put right in there in the first mission, and then returning to it after a few more missions to finally be able to explore it feels pretty special. It looked amazing with the vegetation (or lack of) and enviroment back in 2010 and it still holds up

Valentine is a great town and it keeps the Armadillo vibes with the one-street layout and shops + church so theyre pretty similiar. First time I played RDR2 I immediately thought about Armadillo during the mission with Uncle there

Both are quite central on the map so I keep returning to them even in the later part of the game. Pretty smart map design in that regard

Valentine is great but feels a tad bit too clean and modern for my taste but I habe this issue with all of RDR2's towns.

I'm just curious but what is clean and modern about valentine? all the streets are muddy. and valentine doesn't seem very modern to me. saint denis has solid roads and a trolly system. valentine looks pretty old compared to saint denis.

I edited my post because I realized it was nonsense, lol.

I love Valentine and it's definitely my favorite town in RDR2.

Valentine, really pumps up the nostalgia. I don't feel the same for Armadillo in RDR1
