The cops in GTA don't like me. I get attacked by NPCs and try to defend myself by fists or by guns depending on how I was attacked like whether some taxi driver beat me up or some gangsters shot me. I'm a law-abiding citizen. I even obey the road laws. When I get the cops on me though, I resist arrest like any good patriot would, I don't want my weapons/ammo and my semi truck taken away or to be arrested unjustly for no reason, then the cops start shooting me and it always ends in a mass shooting.

I always hated how cops in GTA V had absolutely no chill, and how NPCs are so hostile.

I liked how in GTA IV, you could walk around Liberty City, mind your own business, and feel like any other NPC. No wonder people say GTA IV was more immersive. I also liked how the peds in GTA IV felt more down to earth in comparison.

Couldn't agree more. I think it was eventually patched, but for a while, animals were literally programed to be able to "call" the police on you (which is why firing a silenced weapon in the middle of nowhere triggers a wanted level). Standing next to peds without doing anything is also enough to attract police attention, IIRC. It almost feels as if the "pedestrians hate you" cheat from the PS2 games has been permanently activated. :sadkek:

RDR2 was better than V in this regard, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried that VI may try to lean a little too far into the "Florida Man" meme when it comes to ped behavior.

I was talking about GTA IV taxi drivers. They'd hit my truck and then get out and fight me then I'd get the cops on me for defending myself. See, it's flawed too. I obeyed the road laws only for taxi drivers to rear-end me when I'm stopped at red lights and try to beat my ass.
