backing up lost game

I turned off my computer while gta sa was still on, and now the saving file 1, on which was all of my progress is basically lost. Does anyone know how can I back it up?

Before this happened, where was your save files located? Did you know exactly? At the usual location "Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files" or elsewhere?

How far were you in the game?

I didn't know exactly, and i was far of in the game, in las venturas proabably like 80%-85%

You can search the name on the file explorer search bar if it's somewhere else? Unless you already tried that.  GTASAsf1 or just GTASAsf

If it really got deleted I think there's no other way but to download a save file (search mission). Do you remember how many side activities/which ones you had done, maybe there's an identical save or so. (See their checklist)

I think it got deleted, but downloading a save file doesn't work, when  i click on the save i want and clik on slot 3 it isn't there idk why.

When you click a slot, it should download it. It doesn't? Check your downloads location or your browser settings.

It did download but it is still not in game.

It is crashing? Ah sorry forgot to mention, it depends on your version. Which one you have?

To change version, on the specific save page under you click on Save Edits > Script/SCM Version.

(Or better send me the save file link you are trying to download so I can change it for you to the right version, also I will check if it works for me as well)

Well to check version I am not that sure either exactly but with this site is one thing from your original save, it says there once you upload. The other is by checking your GTA SA exe.

yea cause you dont save first
