That's crazy, I was just thinking about this kinda stuff there the other week!

 

I think William Orbit's Remix of Adagio for Strings would suit Claude escaping the Cartel Mansion grounds, chasing the helicopter and then the shootout and "fireworks" at the Dam quite well. (Although I prefer Tiesto's remix but it didn't drop until early '05.) I imagine like the little drum roll-y bits that separate the bass heavy "chorus" would be when Claude briefly stops to reload his guns or whatever and then immediately the action resumes.

 

It's definitely one of the songs I'll add to the MP3 Player in III when I get the XBOX double pack.

It wouldn't be out of place on Rise FM at all. 

 

Honorable mention to just the GTA III main theme itself. It would be kinda neat as this moment would just be like a culmination of all of Claudes efforts over the past, however long the game takes place lol. And it would be a funny juxtaposition of the calming jazzy synths of the III theme with the chaos of Columbians getting blown to bits, Deadpool movie slo-mo style.

In my last playthrough I was listenning Rise FM during the final missions and Neo-The One was going on. I just found it perfect, I was driving the bulletproof Patriot and running over all the cartel goons meanwhile enjoying that trance masterpiece. It was incredible.

King of Pain by The Police. Claude's seen, shot, killed, betrayed, and got revenge on everything the worst city in the world has to offer, all for... nothing much really. I mean, i guess hes friends with 8-ball, but every gang there hates him, his connections to the yakuza are dead, and i seriously doubt he would ever make a future with the uptown yardies. He has a whole lot of money and a whole lot of nothing to stay in liberty city for, I always imagined he flies off to some other city to truly begin again and retire from the game to live off his millions. Starting anew but being jaded from the betrayal of his 9 year long relationship that turned him into someone who would do the same to Kenji for just 30k (and maria for free).
