GTA Libert City Stories is easier than V

Recommended Posts

I played both main missions only once. V in pc and LCS in ps emulator.

Yeah, GTA V has the increase of lifespan to 50%, skipping missions, etc but the missions themselves are challenging sometimes, especially the flight ones(the flight in V is worse than in SA), while LCS has 0 hard missions for me at least.

I failed like 5 missions just because of the bad camera movements in shooting and driving in consoles compared to pc

Anyone agrees?

Honestly, from what little I remember of GTA5 (my mind tried to block out most of it), most missions weren't hard at all. The hardest missions tended to be the most pointless ones, like the stupid f*cking forced yoga minigame. I think I failed that mission more than any other mission in the GTA series games that I've played. Following that damn train was easier.

What males V seem so easy is the checkpoint system. Without it, it would probably be on par with the rest.

I agree. If failing a mission meant having to drive all the way back to the mission start area ... AAAAND getting killed in a mission meant having to buy all your guns / restock on ammo again, it would be a lot different.

That started with RDR 1 right?

I think it's really useful on the Red Dead franchise. I don't mind it on GTA but they could add an option to turn it off if you want more of a challenge.

I don't agree, but I think people often misjudge V's difficulty compared to other entries in the series. In GTA V is much easier to die because you don't have a lot more health compared to your enemies and body armour doesn't double your HP, if you don't notice someone it's easy to go down in a few moments (especially with the annoying rapid fire bug). But, compared to 3D era titles, GTA IV and V are more predictable and they have the possibility of taking cover... All 3D era titles are IMO more difficult to HD titles mainly because of their clunky mechanics, III and VC on PS2 in particular with that awful first person camera when using the right analog stick. Cop chases didn't make any sense on 3D titles because flock of police cars were basically kamikazing into you and over 1 star you had to find a Pay'n'Spray or collect police bribes, on HD titles the police actually behaves as they should and you can lose any wanted level (2 and 3 stars are quite easy to lose). The fact that you lose all weapons after each death also made 3D era titles less forgiving.

Flight controls in V are IMO the easiest in the series, SA planes didn't feel responsive at all... Shame we didn't have any planes on IV because I really enjoy how choppers handle there.

Well the option is already there, you can restart the mission from start (like you could do after a mission fail on IV through the phone) or just press "Exit" and go into freeroam like 3D era titles. There's everything for everyone IMO :)

Yeah the 3D era is harder because of the mechanics but if we look at what we qctually do in missions, I don't think V is "the easiest GTA by far" and in fact LCS's missions were far easier for me personally.

Regarding the flight in V, Idk I find it harder than in SA. In V the whole camera moves when you turn left/right while in SA just the plane does. Maybe it is just me :]
