Based on interviews I've read and watched over the years, R* don't explicitly tell you what the game is and what your role is exactly, at least early on, but the cast naturally figure it out pretty quick. Roger Clark for example thought he might not be the only protagonist early on, cause GTA V had three, but he did know he was likely gonna be a playable character pretty quick if I remember right.

 

So I have no doubt Ogg would have known he was in a Grand Theft Auto game, but given by his own admittance that he didn't play or know games he probably didn't figure that out him self immediately, nor would he have known how big the role would be in terms of fame - though I recall Ned Luke and Shawn Foteno saying they of course knew cause they knew GTA, so I imagine Ogg got told that through them. Edit: he literally says as much in the video above, lmao.

Roger Clark covered this in a convention - when they were doing mocap for RDR2, they weren't told it was for "Red Dead Redemption 2". All the actors had a general idea of what they were working on i.e a Red Dead project, but they assumed it could be "Red Dead Revolution" or a spin-off. They found out it was "Red Dead Redemption 2" the same time the first trailer dropped, when they watched it in the mocap studio.

 

It's the same for Grand Theft Auto, they work on doing mocap for a "GTA" game, but they're not directly told it'll be for the 6th game. It could be GTA Online content, a spin-off etc. Jason and Lucia's actors, like the Red Dead actors, would've found out the same day the first trailer dropped. If it's like major Hollywood projects, the titles on their scripts will be the project name on their resumes, i.e. Grand Theft Auto V was "RUSH", for example.

He apparently has contact with someone from Rockstar and they told him that they don't expect VI to release in 2024, but rather in 2025 and earlier I think he reported on what the feelings were at Rockstar after the leak. To be honest, so far he hasn't said anything that's completely new or impossible to guess, but the fact that he knows someone from Rockstar isn't super unreal thing either, especially that he has been reporting on Rockstar related stuff for many years now. Although the fact that a random person from Rockstar knows the exact names of the cast at the time of production seems quite unlikely to me. Unless that person isn't "random".

To be fair, Lucia in the game is not toned like the actress.

 

It will look silly seeing her run up and knock out male NPCs that are much larger than her, but again it’s a video game and not meant to be realistic. (Although I do appreciate realism in video games)

Might be a bit weird but I'm hoping that because the actress is toned it means Lucia will get to look like that too after a while.

What would be cool is if they have her use something during melee combat, like a knife or brass knuckles that she quickly puts on as soon as she goes to hit someone. That way it wouldn’t look so funny when squaring up & duking it out with full grown men in-game.
