I get the point that we are shipping the cars to Liberty City and Yusuf Amir would be paying "generously" for our effort but, "Realism in this aspect has gone has too far"! One IRL Week for mere 3 cars.. I love the new Robberies and wanna replay them.

Too bad. Rockstar doesn’t think you should play the game the way you want. You aren’t really having fun unless Rockstar dictates how much of your time you spend playing the game you want to play.

Waiting a week will make the world a better place.

I remember playing a mission in RDR2 (yet another follow an npc-on-rails mission) and I saw up ahead that I could cut across the path and hopefully shave some time off of following this guy to the start point. The game gave me a warning that I was about to fail it. I wasn't even that far from the path.

I had another where we ended up inside a burning barn and I had a plan to outflank the enemies and catch them in a crossfire. I failed the mission due to it not being exactly what Rockstar wanted me to do.

They are so controlling now that you simply cannot execute any creativity or originality. They detest people not doing exactly as they intended.

Makes no sense for there to be a week long cooldown. The time to do all the setups and flying across the map for those green bag missions (Seriously, Paleto Bay sawmill for an effing boltcutter? No hardware stores?) is cooldown enough.

So

a) does completing the Furia one with all objectives passed unlock the cop outfit, same as I unlocked Coast Guard after the ship one by accidentally hitting all the challenges?

b) do I really have to wait an entire week - and hope it's still available - to have another try at the Furia one?

What a sh*tshow. "Didn't hit the objectives you didn't know about? Come back in a week maybe!"

Basically they're forcing us to reset the heist if we think we're failed to hit something. f*ck off.

Once a week definitely seems steep and strange. Curious to see how the cars/robberies will cycle.

No I did all the challenges but didn't get 'the enforcer' outfit we used in the Mission Row mission (NOOSE one).

I finished the Maze Bank Arena one and it gave me the Panic outfit.

Is it even worth selling the vehicles now to Yusuf, cause we can't redo those missions anyway this week? Might be a cash bonus next week?

There's 4 slots, right? Might be worth filling all 4. I'm not selling until next week yeah. No risk, possible reward.

Nah, the Panic and Coastguard I got despite not hittin gall objectives.

It's just that police uniforms are verboten by Rockstar to wear.

Edit: While filling 4 slots is nice, remember that you need a crew of 3 + yourself to sell them all at the same time for no reason.

Possible there's a trinket for the office for having all 4 slots filled, is pretty much most I expect. Still gonna sell solo.

It's also possible there's simply 4 because Amir has to park in one for the cutscene, or something

wonder if they did this so that in the future they can give gta+ the ability to launch a new robbery way earlier (like after 1 day ingame day maybe) and also lift that restriction a bit on a event week

one week wait is pointless

it seems that r* did this for the purpose of event weeks. i guess that's also when you can expect a reset. there's a bunch of tunables that allow them to change the car (from a list of 100 vehicles) and the robbery mission behind it (there's 5 possible missions), which must be manually set by r* each week. there's also a tunable to allow players to claim the car for themselves (for a price) instead of selling it to yusuf or salvaging it, i have no doubt that will be used for either special promotions or the lower-end/removed vehicles

I feel like a broken record at this point because I’ve been ranting a lot but this cooldown really is irritating me 😂 ah well other stuff in game to do I suppose but 1 week seems excessive to me

Yeah that seems the most obvious reason.

I can see another Cayo nerf happening aswell very soon, I guess we can’t be surprised at this point to be honest. It’s a good way of them slowly killing the game in time for gta 6, I can’t blame them for their strategy anymore lol

Interesting! Any unique vehicles on that list like the Lost Slamvan or Go Go Monkey Blista? Might be worth putting in the effort to get those unique ones.

Hopefully they change it when they realise a lot aren’t happy with the cooldown but tbh I can’t see them changing it

The worst part is if you miss a bonus you have to wait another week again to try to get the awards that go towards the career challenge for this business.

It’s gonna take over 10 weeks to sell 10m worth of cars, depending on the prices they set. A nightmare for grinders who usually knock it all out in a day or two.

Although they will probably x2 it next week to encourage people to buy the salvage yard.

That's one heck of a long grind. I wonder in my head if part of the thinking here was that those who have completed the career challenge before knocked it up to quickly so let's make it a long

amount of time so you keep playing for the 10 weeks.

One reason I've never really looked at my progress much in career challenges since I hate that aspect of gaming as it adds unnecessary strees/pressue to my gaming experience in my head so I just do my own way thesedays.

So we currently miss "Submarine" and Casino Robbery right?

1 robbery per day, that's a cycle every 5 days, nearly the same as weekly, nowhere near as insulting. And ideally surrounded by more content, like how Agency has Contracts and Payphones.

I doubt the car selection will expand from 3 to 5 even once the remaining 2 robberies are released. I'm thinking it will remain at 3 cars/robberies per week, with the 3 cars (and thus the 3 robbery types) selected by Rockstar manually at the beginning of each event week. In other words, we won't even be able to pick which 3 of the 5 robberies will be playable.

This is my biggest complaint about GTA online.  I will never understand a gaming company saying “whoa son, you are enjoying our product a bit too much.  Pull back the reins a bit.”  Imagine if they Cocoa Cola stood in super markets and limited how much of their product you could buy and consume.  You have to be able to design a game and let me play it doing the things that I think are fun, otherwise, this will inevitably lead to me going and playing something else instead, particularly when you are talking about a sandbox game.  And the sad thing is, there is a way they could have set this up to protect you from making too much $, if that is even really their concern, by having levels (“hard” “normal” “easy”) that have different payouts.  The ones that pay less can be done more frequently.  For me, I want to work on career progress, and an arc that could take 10-12 weeks doesn’t appeal to me at all. Rock Star really is screwing the pooch on this one.

So f*cking lame, I'd barely count it as an update when its only 3 missions per week

that's more like an event week

Why not like nerf the payouts for repeating the same robberies? Don't lock players out of the content completely lmao

It's absurd, offensive, and petty.

Balance the game, not punish those that make you famous by playing the f*cking thing!

This, along with handing the long term progress player the middle finger with that career page, are both just too much.

And we're talking a game where a 1000 this or 1000 that means f*ck all to R*, lol. What idiot decided we shouldn't be allowed to.play the new DLC throughout the week it actually drops!

Got to be the biggest marketing blunder they've made in a while. This is a company that can sell sh*t as diamonds, but surely this has to be addressed asap???!!!

I wonder if there are 5 slots. There is a slot for vehicles to use during the robbery. If there are only 5 robberies, and the other 4 slots are filled, it's theoretically possible that R* decided to put the fifth car in that extra slot.

So you do a heist to rob a car but you have to pay if you want to keep it? :sadkek:

This ruined the update for me. Rockstar doesn't care at all if players have fun or not. I've done all three missions, and now all I can do is stupidly drive around with a tow truck and pick up cars.

And that's what people call a good update... 🤡
