GTA VI TRAILER REVEAL - HYPE THREAD

Why do you think T2 and Strauss Zelnik in May 2023 (4th quarter report 2023) allowed themselves to announce preliminary financial forecasts in the amount of 8 billion immediately for two years ahead?

Cause it looks good to shareholders/investors, innit.

Because it is obvious that GTA 6 will also be released either in the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 26 (October-December 2025) or in the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2026 (January-March 2026). In the 4th quarter of fiscal year 2026, it can be released only in case of an official public delay of the game from Rockstar

It is publicly penciled in for Fall 2025, it can not released at any stage in 2026 without a public delay.

If during the next investors call Strauss leaks a sort of delay, you'll the stock value of T2 Interactive the next day how's gonna be low. They cannot allow the delay of the game for any fkin reason, maybe just WW3

If a delay is announced what will happen is the world will continue just fine.

Take-Two are a video game publisher, delays are part of the business.

I’m referring to last year's investor call, where the company projected over $8 billion in net bookings for fiscal '25. This estimate was reiterated in Aug 2023. However, in Nov 2023, they revised it to below $8 billion, then a little above $7 billion in Feb 2024, before lowering it further to between $5.55 billion and $5.65 billion in May 2024.

By the time they offer their outlook for FY '26 in May 2025, Rockstar will have dropped the second trailer or provided an update.

They count pre-orders upon delivery, meaning upon the game's release. The "a little above $7 billion" reflecting a $1.45 billion increase over their usual earnings, may have been based on an internal expectation for a March 2025 release of VI around Feb 2024, before settling on Fall 2025.

I think some of you are understimating the future of GTA 6 Online, we know that it won't be out on first day, but after 2 weeks most likely, and since 2013 the society changed a lot and also in terms of videogames, if nobody spent nothing on shark cards when GTA5 Online came out, with GTA6 Online plenty of people as soon the online mode get released ( although we have a free roam mode ) will spend hundreds of dollar just for having the equivalent of Zentorno in VI.

No, WW3 will only happen if gta 6 is delayed (the boredom and dissapointment will be too high)

Of course mate, nobody denies it. But for me, it seems that T2 are super confident that the game will be released in 2025 no matter what.

People will fight for getting into R* studios and have some sort of GTA VI

They're as confident as they've ever been in a date really. They (nor R*) have ever been like "we're aiming for X date but we dunno, it might slip". They've always been pretty firm and if it gets delayed it gets delayed.

Not saying it will or anything, but I wouldn't read too much into stuff to try and predict if it will or won't be delayed.

Probably just a minor inconvenience compared to how much they'll get when GTAVI releases, with or without a delay.

Absolutely, but investors would get bored/annoyed by also a little delay, and decide to get back.

Anyways, a prayer and everything will be alright

There's nothing they can do.

Also worth mentioning I think that general shareholders (who purchase publicly listed shares) do not get paid dividends.

But yea, delays are part of the business. Shareholders can get annoyed all they want it's not gonna force GTA VI out early, R* and T2 can point to their history of releasing it when it's ready and how successful that's been and that's the conversation over.

There may be some higher up investors or stakeholders who do get some sort of dividends, which we'd never hear from, but those guys aren't public shareholders ranting about how they want GTA VI now. They know the money they're set to make when it does release.

Esaustive explanation, nothing to say. Cheaupeu

I think people are giving too much credit to investors lol. They play around with stocks all the time, that's how they make money. Doubt they care that much when GTAVI comes out, they just wanna know when to invest and when to pull out stocks.

Sure, no one is making promises to shareholders they don't believe they can keep. So, it's more likely that GTA 6 will be released in 2025 than in 2026. That said, delays are still a strong possibility.

I love how Rockstar spends a sh*t ton of time making sure that their games are as flawless and bug free as possible before releasing them, and yet they can't be bothered to give a sh*t when players find a game breaking issue that needs to patched :kekw:

I don't find that surprising considering we're talking about a company that has their mindset still stuck in 2004 with the delayed platforms releases, they only publish once it's as close to perfection as possible, and no patching cause we didn't have patching in 2004 :kekw:

PC must be the peak of every game, maybe it's better like this

Pretty standard sadly.

Bug that annoys players frequently? Can go years without being fixed. Bug that allows people to progress too fast and/or undermines the monetisation? Disable the entire feature, patch within 48 hours.

Aren't we underestimating the potential impact of upcoming US elections result ?

I mean, potential censorship and all

A reminder: Rockstar made fun of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump back in 2013

Not saying the orange idiot isn't a moron but this isn't 1939 and the US isn't the world

I doubt that U.S. politicians are going to do anything about the game. They have other, more important things to care about than a video game. Plus, Rockstar has been making fun of politicians in their games forever and have gotten away with tons of controversies.

Wasn't everything they said false? There were no billboards and the "might be announced for 2024 but probably scheduled for an internal delay to 25" guess was also wrong.

Hello, apologies was reading this thread and saw this. The announcement for 2024 with an internal delay for 2025 we were told early on in 2023 (I think around April time) Development changes very quickly and I should have checked in November when Jason leaked the announcement  to see if that was still the case, but I didn't. The Billboards I was told about the same time I was told Sam Houser was visiting all the studios, so I was only told that in October/November 2024. But yeah that was a major L on my end

mate give us some news its super dry here, save us

Tom henderson also heard about fall 2024 target back in 2022-2023, He even repeat that in some article in h1 2023

Based on the earnings forecast back then it was a relatively simple educated guess that at some point it was penciled in at some point for 2024, and it was widely discussed here if I remember correctly. But obviously when the official announcement came it was 2025.

doubt rockstar will involve politics in their games at all, they even said themselves things change too fast. and seeing how millitant people are on both sides its not even worth it. US politics is a circus, democrats and republicans.

We also thought Rockstar might have gone 'woke' (not that I care either way, but a GTA without satire would feel pretty off). And now, just look at Trailer 1—haha!
