R3 button not letting me aim on GTA 4

So I play the Downgraded version of gta 4 on pc (1.0.7.0) with a couple of mods downloaded with it as well with DS4 windows, worked fine yesterday when I first got it all running and played until jamaican heat but after I shut down the laptop and booted the game up today for some reason when I specifically aim with a gun my R3 (right joystick) button isnt able to move and instead I can only free aim with the touchpad on my controller. Anybody know a solution to this? I tried checking all the other forums to see if anyone else has this issue but with no luck
