There's no way they don't throw in a shirt or two to celebrate The Next Entry in the Grand Theft Auto™ Series

This looks fairly interesting. Definitely a fan of the drift races and the changes to the creator, if they are done right. And if it's a chop shop business we're getting, maybe we'll get some new rat rods, or new customization to existing classic cars.

I want to see a shirt that says "Thank you," in the front and "Sam Houser" in the back.

The gta online community just have to accept that the mile high club is never getting finished. Literally one big headache, story wise well what about the numerous missions that happen on that roof and do they once again retcon single player? + adding an entire building now? 1-2 years before gta6? Whats the point? And with old gen still present that’s literally impossible

did they forget how in singleplayer, it's explained to be an elaborate money laundering front that's never going to be finished?

As it is, it seems like the drift 'class' has a lot of overlap with tuners. Maybe the Camry is a tuner?

We've already got the EVO 6 in the form of the Sultan(Classic)|RS (Tailight and front bumper/hood), EVOX of sorts, and at least 2 impreza generations as well

of the FNF/'tuner' liveries and cars we're just missing the one for the maxima (likely to be featured on this sultan) and the jetta

8-15 ish new cars?

I really hope they don’t mess with non drifting vehicle handling, or if they do, they just revert to the Tuners to their full glory and de nerf all of the cars from AW/AH/SSASSS that have odd handling qualities. If anything, buff everything lol, it’s endgame now pretty much let us car folks have fun.

Engine swaps is what we need, we're never gonna get them but we need them.
I want to be able to make proper drag builds... Imagine a Deveste 8 powered blista Kanjo. It would open a completely new type of competitive racing for people, since now if you want to do a drag racing community event with a buncha friends and whatnot you never know what you're gonna be up against and that makes it more fun and makes all car viable. Anything could potentially become a true sleeper on par with the hypercars of this game.

Best way to do that is have an open class where all land vehicles are fair game. I’ve always wanted to be able to, at the very least, have races with multiple classes. The easiest way seems like it would be to have an open category or the option to toggle multiple class types when creating a race.

Agreed there is something ive always wanted to do in this game and its multiclass endurance. LM style. Imagine how great that would be. Make a proper racetrack via the creator, 32 players or whatever the cap is and everyone is welcome to come with a car that is modified for track racing. (cars with racing liveries only). Anyway  id rather stop dreaming about stuff not coming to the game or ill get depressed again.

Broughy has kind of come close to something like that. Sometimes I’ll just play playlists of circuit style tracks that were showcased on Broughys creator streams, and do 30 laps of Laguna Seca or Brands Hatch, or some of the more creative tracks built around the in game roads. We already have tire wear so it would just be a matter of some creator props and more broadly general endurance racing cars, that way we could get cars from all eras… I still want that GT40 Mk.4 and Ferrari 330 P4.

that's not how gta engins work

and without fixing the toe, it'll drive like sh*t

HSW is basically engine 'swaps'

EDIT:

Here's how I think the 'mechanics' of the update will be (let's see how right or wrong I am lol).

The tow truck is a personal/pegasus/service vehicle you could customise and the tow-hook has itself, the other tow trucks, and the slamtruck blacklisted as connect-able (the slamtruck could gain towing abilities).

You use it to tow cars to the yard to be impounded/scrapped for cash like taxi jobs, and maybe a daily income increase for milestones or livery unlocks. And there could also be a delivery to LSC or Autoshops for cash.

As for the choice for cash or parts payout, the cash would be the least 'profitable' option, possibly paying out 50% of 400-800k worth of parts. Each car would have its own parts to collect (say 2-5 robberies worth, potentionally divided into 2 or 4 again so it'd work for bonuses). When you steal enough of one car you could 'exchange' the parts for an owned model with a small fee (~50-100k?); at any time, you could buy it out for the remaining value. Say you robbed 3/5 times (12/20 units), then you'd pay 40% of the website cost of the car, and the sell price of the 'completed' car would either be zero or half of whatever you paid to finish it if you didn't have all the units. You could also cash out the parts at any point if you don't want to 'collect' it anymore, but at an even more reduced rate compared to cashing out initially?

Bonuses would give you more units or cash per robbery, so from 4 units (worth 800k) or 400k payout to 6/8 units or 600/800k for 1.5/2x.

So instead of spending a lotta money for a car, you steal it bit by bit then forge some documents, and boom 'free' car.

They could pre-record lines for manufacturers and give a more generic version if they add existing/new cars later too?

It’s going to be funny as hell watching them throw together another disorganized subclass of vehicles for drift races so that I can watch someone hoon their $1.2m Toyota Camry around a track while the Drift Yosemite and Drift Tampa remain utterly useless.

I also feel like those of us hoping for the Uranus can throw in the towel if it doesn’t come with Yusuf. The Turismo makes me worry that we’re going to get newer versions of old GTA IV favorites rather than the old vehicles themselves. Still going to hope for it along with a Comet Classic and Bullet Classic.

I haven’t done much with the creator mode. Is this not possible through the transform races?

I can't wait to see how obnoxiously unfunny and weird looking they'll make Yusuf. So far it has happened to every returning character and, well, new character aswell.

Yeah let’s hope they don’t pull a Tony prince from the after hours dlc …

some/many of them might come back in gta6

although we're missing the ingot bodykits and as I've said before tuner wagons/mpv/vans

the feroci is a weird one. It's clearly a honda, but it's made by bravado, and we know it's in gta6. Heck, the interior and a bunch of spoilers for it are in GTA5 (the latter lot unused...). The vehicle with the least work from gta to bring it into gtav would be the feroci. They already remade the exterior for gta6, and the interior and a bunch of spoilers are already there for them so they can have a headstart of sorts.

although putting both a camry and an accord in the same dlc without at least one wagon would feel weird.

Maybe they'll get an intern to make a wagon version and reuse the now probably somewhat ill fitting spoilers on the camry or slapping them on the wagon as is...

the best drift car will probably not be what you think. If it's not point based, it'd be the fastest awd car.

This is from the news wire.  Could gassed-up mean with nitrous?

Could be, but it has more than one meaning (higher tier, better performance, more tuning options, etc).

It could also mean that the new cars have poor ventilation and players have the choice to in-game fart and lose health per second as long as the windows are up in the new cars.

Just heard that there are going to be new properties in sandy shores, exclusively for last gen and PC, which, according to r* management , ideally represents this class of users, no matter what reality could be:
