Well, it's the smallest game by a longshot, so it needed the least effort. They may have also started with that one, and then gotten overloaded by the time they moved on to VC and SA.

vice city has to be smaller

GSG are just angry about being removed from the games and want to mess things up with their statements. There will be more patches, VGD didn't just copy and paste the Netflix versions to consoles/PC. There were more fixes here.

New update just got released 34 minutes ago on steam, small updates of 1 mb to 3 mb per game though, does not look like launcher updates !

Edited by GameBunny77

Replaced FollowPed camera with AimWeapon, added a few tweaks to mimic FollowPed, now it's at least playable.

Indeed, and for these games and not a launcher

any chance for classic control for BMX? I hate this mobile leftover

Won't be for the RGL at all if this is the patch specifically related to the Steam Deck/Steam.

Just goes to show it's best to always buy Steam versions of games if someone has a Deck.

Those who bought the game on RGL before it hit Steam in February 2023 though will be forced to buy again? :/

Updating the light posts in the game, one pole at a time :lmaokek:

Can someone explain how are things like that still not fixed after 3 years? The wheels always clip on this highway, and that stuck car eventually exploded.

That's what they wrote about the camera, so I thought. Since the camera in the PC version is terrible

Stuck cars in this area happen in the original occasionally too AFAIK. The original game logic (such as traffic/paths/etc) is largely unchanged.

Perhaps, but I don't remember bike wheels clipping in the OG PC version.

It's probably something to do with pathfinding? I would like to link this one that happened to me last year:

What you experienced is a thing in the original game too

It's refreshing to see, IIRC we haven't seen any dev/publisher acknowledgement of DE updates since 2021?

Are they responsive at all in the comments? I hope they can confirm there will be further updates.

I recall VGD making a similar post not too long after the mobile versions came out. It'd be nice if they could say whether or not development is still ongoing, but I doubt R* would allow them to give that sort of info without the official go-ahead. And it's unlikely that R* would make such an announcement themselves, since they're notorious for their silence and lack of communication...

EDIT: It's best to assume the worst and not expect anything going forward; then you could be pleasantly surprised if another update happens to drop on a random day a few months/years from now (simultaneous updates for all of R*'s other games notwithstanding, because it would be related to the RGL in that case).

Could you disable camera auto-centering while driving? That would've been really great.

I've been searching for a camera fix for a few years. That's the only thing I could find (never tested it though)

I just messaged them on LinkedIn, not expecting a reply.

I don't like to imply or read too much into this stuff, but I feel like they would've said "we're still working on it" or "there will be more updates" if they were actually intending to bring any more stuff.

Just a hunch though.

It's not up to them to confirm or deny anything though. I might as well 'read too much' into "latest" update (not the last, right? lol). But there's nothing really to read into.

Not sure if this has been posted.

This would really suck if this was the final update. I mean, the recent update from VGD is a big and good update, but it’s still far away from being bug-free. They polished a lot in areas where you would spend most of your time. Los Santos for example is almost perfect, but as soon as you unlock Badlands/SF, you're starting to see all the mess that hasn’t been cleared up yet. Las Venturas is an absolute train-wreck. Plane controls are still very confusing. Mission scripts are broken. So there's still work left to finally have a true "Definitive Edition."

I don't like this :modkek: I know that original games are not perfect at all (there are a lot of problems as well in original version...) but this was/is supposed to be a "definitive edition"...
