I'm not 100000% sure if this bit isn't in some GTA V texture either, but that "We will no longer accept cash stored in underwear" notice is indeed in the VI trailer lmao.

We do know that they've used a couple of what seem to be GTA VI textures, including a brand on a printer/fax so...

 

Edit: This texture is NOT new with the VGD patch, they just fixed its orientation. Besides, I will repeat that I'm not sure if this isn't in GTA V. If anything in it is from VI it's only that little cash in underwear message, the rest is a mix.

Pretty sure they are wondering if it looks like the plane is stuck in mid-air or not. From what I remember from Joshimuz's stream it still looks weird?? I might be misremembering from the Netflix version, dont @ me.

It seems to be stuck there mid-air, no motion (moving ground), can't see it after I jump. I don't remember how it was in the original.

Original the render distance was super low because they were trying to sell you the illusion that the plane was moving, but obviously it's just statically placed in the air

Lock n' Stock

The work to fix this has been...pretty good actually. Took them long enough but there's clearly been an effort to clean up GSG's mistakes.

 

Probably still work to be done. Have any of the ugly character models been fixed in any way?

Lol I can't stop laughing.  Cannot believe my luck..Just seen R* released the latest patch on consoles/pc. Long time fan here since gta trilogy on the original fat ps2. I literally just gave up on gaming and sold my ps5 last weekend after the disappointment of TDU3 and a final send off playthrough of San Andreas Definitive, and now they release the new patch 3 years later! Ha. Might have to save up for the ps5 pro to play the Trilogy again and future proof for GTA6s release later next year.

 

Anyway couple of questions for you lucky players that are enjoying the new class lighting and updates. (Just looked through this whole sub again).

 

- has the aiming improved in 'Home in the Hills' ?(specifically Madd Doggs Mansion rooftop)

- has the SAPD helicopters spotlight been fixed?

- Are the collusion sounds removed from SA when on foot bumping into vehicles?

-does GTA3 have that orginal gritty bluish green atmosphere?

 

So jealous right now.

San Andreas is my favourite game if all time.

 

The regional weather effects in San Andreas look stunning:) :)

Sorry, but I just wanted to know how you do these texture comparisons between the old and new version of Definitive? Do you do it manually, or is there some program for this?

You can use something like WinMerge if you have all files from both versions extracted.

You can use WinMerge as an example to compare data changes, you can use FModel or UEModel to extract, things like that. I wrote a script that does most of the work for me to save me a lot of time to avoid having to do manual looking. That way I can compile a quick Addition/Removal/Changed changelog

@SquoniX yeh no problem no need to credit me though it's only screenshots but alright

I assume most know here but if someone don't, there's all mission saves in gtasnp if anyone wants to check specific missions, get the mission before the one you want to check- there's a checklist there.

Yup, I saw one right after it finished raining in SF. Rain is SF is also rly strong now, with a lot of volumetric fog like in the OG

True, the new sandstorm weather effects are also very strong. They are legit scary, I can’t see sh*t. 

The only thing that really upset me was the understanding that this seems to be the last update and no one else except us will remember about the games. BUT how glad I was to get away when I went to steam db and saw that the work was continuing

Something else is that the cars don't handbrake drift that well in TDE, unlike in the originals. On PC at least. What could be causing that? Also a bit the driving is weird.

Still not fixed.

I don’t see anyone saying this is the last update. Similar to how people were claiming this update won’t come to last-gen consoles and Switch. There’s simply no information.

I think there's still work to be done, so if Rockstar lets VGD work more on the games then we'll maybe get another 1 or 2 patches.

Not sure if they will be of the same scope. Probably not?

That's the problem with rockstar. They never say anything. They can just roll back support for the game and that's it. In fact, there are enough people, and even we have popular ones in the GTA community, who thought that was it.

It's cool, but man, that rainbow looks ridiculous. They could have done at least a little work to make the rainbow not straight and vertical like in the original, but semi-circular like in real life. It looked good in the original, but here this rainbow with more realistic graphics looks poor.

Besides, this rainbow is too bright. In the original, the rainbow was very dim, so it didn't stand out from the atmosphere of the game.

Wouldn't volumetric street lights make the games at night look better? (correct me if I am wrong, I think that's what they are called.) as long as they are not too strong.

Did it have those before or I remember wrong? Unless I was using a mod that added that..
