EDIT: I don't know how important these textures are, if they are shared textures or what their exact purpose is. They fall under a Misc folder so it seems like it's not main stuff.

This was the first thing we all discussed when GTA Definitive Edition came out. All of the textures were dumped into an upscaler. Video Games Deluxe just went in and fixed the outstanding ones

Is this a Definitive Edition bug for San Andreas? I remember recruiting gang members in the OG version and when you aim and attack an NPC they (Grove Street members) would also return fire. I also remember if you have some Grove members with you they would shoot the police when a shootout ensued. It doesn’t work in the DE

Also, fun fact, some of the specular map textures still have what seem to be GSG's original upscales in some cases and you can see how much VGD has changed them if you don't have the original files.

@NightmanCometh96 Is this version worth buying now since I am kinda wanting to check out these gtas in unreal engine before I start making my own open world game in ue4 or ue5, Godot sucks for 3d games making for me though?

I knew I saw some seagulls flying around in Vice City near the beach

 

Did audio get a little boost? Radio Stations are more loud then they were originally I thought and I didn’t even have to mess with any audio settings

Wait, were birds absent in all three games? Wow, someone said that SA didn't have them. It looks like 3 lacked them, too.

 

All the texture and collision changes are too many and hard to log, so I just put them under a general log like "Various fixes made to textures and collisions" or something similar to that.

Every YouTuber I have seen videos of complained about the music being too loud.

Audio volume changes were made to pretty much all of them. They also fixed issues where certain SFX were not listening to the Audio Settings (they were being ignored)

While it still doesn’t quite match up to the quality of the originals, IMO, I do think the DE is in a good enough state now that it’s a serviceable alternative (particularly if you have no other means of accessing the OGs). I’d personally wait for a discount, though; Steam’s Autumn sale should be coming up in the next few weeks.

Entirely changed. It seems they have reworked the cock :lmaokek: using Substance Painter or similar software (look at the texture explosion)
Go check the cock in-game, it probably looks really good and shiny!

What a dream come true this would be. VCS is still my favourite out of all the 3D era games. However I think Rockstar are content in leaving it in the past. It's initial poor sales, combined with the stigma around the current DE, wouldn't make it worth the time and money to renew the soundtrack.
