The collisions present at Grove Street seem to have been fixed:

I am not sure why I can't paste images.

This is a private Google Photos image is why. You need to host it elsewhere.

Really hoping these upgrades make it to other platforms ASAP; I still despise the character models, but the classic lighting option alone is a night and day improvement over GSG's original DE. This whole situation reminds me of Christian Whitehead's Sonic 1/2/CD remakes. For years, although those versions were arguably the best way to play those games, Sonic 1 and 2 in particular remained exclusive to mobile devices for almost a decade before finally making it to consoles and PC via Sonic Origins in 2022 (although the ports in that collection are flawed compared to the original mobile versions and the unofficial decompilation projects).

I mean, the mobile versions are also Unreal Engine games, I do wonder to what extent some things are portable, depending on how it's done.

Suspiciously similar :)

Considering SkyGFX and similar mods aim to restore the original atmosphere on PC, I'd say that's an excellent thing!

Normally, it wouldn't really make sense not to update other versions as well, but then again Rockstar still hasn't released E&E content on PC (it's been almost 2 years), so who knows...

These mobile versions of the genre-defining classics Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are all available to be purchased individually and feature additional improvements, including a new Classic Lighting mode that restores the look and feel of the sky in the original games.

Wow, i'm shocked, they really did it

Reality is they have other improvements too over the GSG versions. Like a lot of stuff seems to be fixed. The character models looks bad still but they are far better than the original GSG definitive trilogy.

And not only for graphics. But also for the fixes.

- Sprint in GTA 3 was buggy. Now it's fixed.

- Fixes for textures

- Fixes for collisions

...

Just so everybody is in the loop on this.

Video Games Deluxe (Formerly Team Bondi) developed these ports. Grove Street Games seems to have given them what they initially had.

Oh yeah absolutely, I did not expect to see a PS2-like athmosphere! But if they took more than a simple inspiration from SkyGFX I hope they at least credited the modders behind it... It would be also a good thing to see after the whole re3 fiasco IMO :)

Don’t want to speak too soon as I’m just messing around in the beginning, but I feel like AI accuracy has been fixed in San Andreas. Tested a few shootouts now and I’m not getting shredded anymore. These changes HAVE to come to console/pc for that alone.

This could be just because it's a mobile version, some things will be tuned specifically for mobile I'd imagine.

Well, I wasn't optimistic and I still am not.

They probably won't release a patch for PC nor console because, as usual, Rockstar has serious issues and likes to just drop platforms and support.

- PC GTA V still doesn't have E&E enhancements (neither graphical nor gameplay wise, graphical is probably easier (DLSS, TAA, etc)). "But think of the modding and FiveM!!!11!"

Yeah, which they acquired, it takes *some* effort.

- GTA VI for PC.

- And now this =p.

Yes, I'm acting like Sean "Sour" Johnson but y'know :), someone's gotta do the criticism.

True, mobile games' difficulty are usually toned down to accomodate for the touch controls

The Gen9 consoles are not getting anything for now either so... They aren't "dropping" the latest consoles for their games :kekw: :kekw:

Yeah, I mentioned them too, this wasn't PC specific. Unless I misunderstood what you meant.
