If that Destroyed Edition will be the same on mobile devices too, well... i will never play it (i have PC version that is still waiting for a patch... a beta still available, but...)

Why Netflix is required for mobile version?!?

Not that I know much from mobile but I don't think many mobiles can run these, right? Like mine can't 100%. (these aren't the originals)

they're offering them I misread that

Mobiles are really powerful these days.

Remember that now GTA Liberty City Stories on Android run at 60 fps (was 30 before), but i want to know if there are physics problems or not because of that

Now only VCS still waiting a mobile release :modkek:

I know that but they are still not as good as a console or PC. They will have to downgrade them a bit (what they probably did)

I would never subject any of my devices to that dogsh*t remaster whether they could run it or not. Gotta be something in the geneva conventions about that sh*t

Ah, I see that the atrocious, cartoony character models are sticking around (as if there was ever any doubt). :sadkek:

It would be nice if these new mobile versions could at least have some significant bugfixes (that ideally make their way over to consoles and PC), but I'm not getting my hopes up. While I'd be happy to be proven wrong, I suspect that they will be pretty much identical to the existing platforms in terms of "polish" (i.e. playable enough to complete the games from start to finish if you can stomach GSG's questionable design decisions, but still quite buggy. Needless to say, these new ports are probably not going to sway anyone who was critical of the DE and/or preferred the originals in the first place).

For preservation's sake, R* should keep the 10th anniversary versions available in some form; but if they couldn't be arsed to relist the actual originals on anything other than the RGL (and even then, it was probably just compensation for PC players due to the issues surrounding the Launcher when the DE first released), I see no reason why things would be different this time around.

That PC version available at Rockstar store is NOT a decent version... it's the worst version, there are videos about that

Also, mobile version of original Trilogy is a PC conversion, so no Xbox textures for cars and other things...

And mobile version of Destroyed edition is a PC/mobile convertion of original Trilogy + Destroyed Edition for Console or PC :kekw:

I see some possible differences in atmosphere and colors (at least in GTAIII, but i'm not sure)

True, they're awful out of the box, but isn't it technically possible to downgrade the RGL versions to the older PC versions to re-enable modding and restore the missing songs? If so, those versions at least have that going for them. With the DE, there's only so much that modding can do to address the many issues; no matter how many mods you use, the "Definitive" Editions are still going to be broken ports of the already-terrible mobile versions.

If it's not just a specific timecyc, it looks like they might have added more distance fog to GTA SA. You can see it on at least 2 of the new screenshots.

You can also get bigger sizes from the App Store by copying and pasting the URL of the image into your address bar, then changing the resolution number at the end.

If they have indeed made some visual changes, could we reasonably expect those to also be added to the existing console versions via a new patch?

You'd hope so, but going by past events, I wouldn't say it's guaranteed. I remember that the PS3 version of SA 2014 (which came out ~ 1 year after the 360 version) restored the 2 player mode, but GSG never bothered to patch it back into the Xbox or mobile versions, nor did they restore it in the DE.

Yeah I can see they added some graphical tweaks as well. However, character models look still atrocious. One question... why?

Colors are fixed, the atmosphere looks nice, and volumetric clouds are gone.

Can you guys pull some more screenshots in this thread please?

Volumetric colors being absent is probably because of the optimizations for phones

Oh yeah this one is definitely a confirmed change, and honestly looks better than the faux? volumetric clouds that you can't even get to, more reminiscent of the original. I wonder if this was a change done specifically to optimise the games on mobile or if it's gonna make its way to all platforms.

There is also a trailer but i hate it seriously... i think that it's the same trailer of PC & console versions + Netflix logo...

Yeah seems like a recut version of the original trailer, though interestingly this one doesn't have the before and after transitions comparing the original graphics vs the remastered.
