Do you think RDR on the PS4/Nintendo Switch will get a multiplayer?

Would you think Rockstar Games will add Multiplayer to the Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game any time soon?

Heh, yeah, not a chance.

Looking at how they handled GTAIV's Complete Edition... I'd say big no.

As far as I know, the multiplayer scripts were converted over to those versions... I don't know about the code itself.

From what I could tell in the PS4 executable there are a lot of code references left for Multiplayer.  Switch modders might be able to shed a lot more light since they have symbols.

I wonder if that code is still somewhat functional?

Would custom servers work?

Would probably need to start with someone making custom servers for the originals first and then looking into the code of these ports.

It’s not worth the fuss. Most of the players towards the end were hackers anyways.
