Call to arms what am I doing wrong?

So I started rdro a little over a year ago on series x and I'm a level 199 with max health stamina and dead eye. I'm assuming this means i'd still be considered a newbie and for some reason I am struggling with the call to arms waves. I cannot get past wave 3. I play alone and I know that's a very small part of it but I've seen people say they can do it themselves. My weapon load out is, Bolt action, Lancaster repeater, dual wield navy in which all are fully upgraded. I rotate between express and high velocity ammo. I know most will not approve of my cards they are al upgraded but are health cards I just don't like the paint it black and I'm hoping that's not the issue. So just curious what exactly can I do to get through all the waves? I really want to beat the halloween one and just can't put my finger on what's wrong. Tips, advice, insults, constructive criticism welcome  . I appreciate anyone who has the time to help me...........

the" paint it black" is  a must have for me.and strange medicine is also my suggestion

there 's a 100% safe position in"tumbleweed"map which asures you beating the 10th wave:

park the oil tank wagon to block the house's  ladder ,so that the enemies can not get to the roof ,even if oil tank explodes.

how you get there after the ladder's blocked?just climb the building on you right side.then just hide behing the cover and be OK.

Oh ... Well ...

You dislike Paint It Black but sadly Paint it Black is a usual essential card since it sincronize and makes both Eye for an Eye and Strange Medicine Cards even more effective + Fool me Once. (This Card setup is the common setup for general RDR Online PVE-Dead Eye use).

 

My usual build for all Call To Arms maps is:

 

- Dual Wield Navy Revolvers.

- Lancaster Repeater.

- Carcano Sniper Rifle.

- Dynamites or Fire Bottles because of the Special Enemies.

- High-End Tonics.

 

Cards Are:

 

- Paint It Black. (Dead Eye).

- Strange Medicine. (Rec).

- Eye For An Eye. (Rec).

- Fool Me Once. (Def).

 

Since you probably don't want to rely on the Dead Eye, use the Cold Blooded Card instead of the Eye For An Eye Card since this will make you get actual health in a 5 sec time.

 

Usual Run in the Saint Denis Farm map.

 

1-4 waves ... Try to keep yourself ALWAYS on the move, BUT close to the NPC's in the center main farm + roads, since this will give you a chance to have the NPC's to deal damage to the enemies around.

5-10 waves: Almost the same strats, BUT ... go to the edges of the map, following the roads, always making a circle around the map, 1° to get the enemies to follow you, 2° to have better clearance for shots.

 

- ALWAYS ... Let the Dynamite and Bottles to deal with the special enemies.

- Be careful in later waves because of the special spawns which are usually close to the edge of the maps.

- You can use High Velocity ammo in early waves and use the Express + specials on the later ones.

Some great tips shared already, but I’d use pistols instead of revolvers because of the faster reload speed. Just as a backup incase multiple enemies somehow gets too close.
