Roman Bellic, bowling cheat?

I'm not that good at bowling, but I swear that Roman cheats. 

 

I finally found out the trick to consistently score a strike or close (leaving one pin only), and I played a few half games against him.

 

Every time I opened up a lead, he threw a strike.  Every. Single. Time. Once he threw three in a row to win.

 

I've beaten some of the other characters at bowling, so I think Roman's designed to be exceptionally hard. Fortunately I can thrash him at darts with my eyes closed, but I got so annoyed at his blatant cheating at bowling, I actually punched him out 

 

Anyone else sensed this?

The AI is pretty iffy. I've noticed if you skip their turn, they tend to score a lot lower. But if you watch them bowl it out, they get strikes/spares a lot of the time. But Roman and Niko are both European grand champion bowlers in my head now the bowling meme has a lot more meaning.

Roman ain't cheating. He got experience in bowling and he's better at it than you. Git gud bro.
