A thread for something you'd wish rockstar would do, but heavily doubt it would happen.

I'll start first.
It would be cool to see a collection of all of their games from PS1 to PS3 era in their original state, no graphical improvements needed just their original state on the PS1, PS2, PS3 with higher resolutions and or framerates. It's incredibly unlikely they would ever do this but it would be nice nonetheless.

Edit: I tried making a concept box art for this idea but never finished it LiWtqSF.png

Max Payne 3 Remaster for current-gen hardware.

I dunno, Max Payne 3 still looks gorgeous 12 years later. It's aged incredibly well, and the gameplay is still just as tight now.

They could just as well do a re-release for the current gen systems and it wouldn't look that off.

Rockstar really needs to release their artwork logoless. They look baller as hell as desktop wallpapers, but the game and company logo distracts me everytime I look at them. I hate that I have to use AI softwares to get rid of them when Rockstar could've easily release them logoless.

The Art of Rockstar Games. That'd be amazing. A 1.000+ page book behind the scenes at Rockstar with stuff for all of their released games, never before seen concept art, artworks, story sketches, etc.

Agreed, but seeing how not even their biggest titles (RDR1, GTA) just barely get proper rereleases or remasters I heavily doubt it.

cant remember

Mine is similar to OP but for PC. The entire GTA collection (and RDR) fixed up to work on modern Windows, with the old graphics, but still including ALL the original radio tracks as they were on the PS2 versions, and also the things that have since been censored also still present.

Also I wish GTA6 would release on PC and console simulatenously.

I forgot to mention PC but I hope something like that would be on PC especially 😅

A very huge patch for GTA D.E. because it's a mess (mobile version is or is not coming? Still TBA, and without a patch i don't recommend that), a fix for all GTAIV & DLC bugs (stuttering and hard-freezes expecially, texture pop-in problems and other problems; also i want to see multiplayer with Social Club), GTAV E&E for PC, GTA LCS for PC & console, GTA VCS for PC & console (and mobile version because is still not available), GTA CTW for PC & console, and i want to play also GTA Advance (you know what happened with Castlevania, i want this with GTA Advance)

God, I would love that so much ... but sadly, the world of music licensing is both complicated and expensive.  I was involved in a project where I had to license pieces of songs, and it was both a complicated process (they wanted to know the exact duration it would be played, the context, etc.) AND cost a bit of dosh just for a small piece to be played at a specific spot. And these weren't even big hit songs, either. (Plus, and I could be wrong on this so don't quote me, but I think there was something between 2009 and 2012 that changed how music publishing / rights worked. Maybe I'm thinking of the collapse of EMI America.)
So once you start playing full versions of the songs in a game where it can be played multiple times, you can see how sh*t can get real expensive real fast. And that's if the music publishing company doesn't just outright refuse to license out the song for whatever reason.  EDIT: For example, the people who now own the rights to Michael Jackson's music won't license out his music anymore ... f*cking bastards.

Also, once you realize that about 90% of all music is now owned by three companies, UMG: Universal Music Group (by far the biggest), WMG: Warner Music Group and Sony, it really changes the way you look at how you consume music. Or, at least it did for me.

I hope they bring back GTA IV's multiplayer to the PC version. It would be sad to see it go

Didn't they say that they were doing something like that for V or RDR2 but later just let it go silent and never release?

OT - Bully 2. I feel like, if we haven't gotten it in 15+ years, we won't be getting it period

Bully 2, my beloved

You know, maybe it's just me, but I played a little bit of Bully 1 many years ago and ... I dunno, it never clicked with me. It's like GTA but you can't grand theft any autos, or shoot anybody. You're just playing as some sh*tass kid being an asshole at a school. The obvious snarky joke is "Maybe if I'd been bullied at school, I'd see this as a revenge fantasy", but in all seriousness, I just didn't really get the appeal of it.

That said, if you want the Bully 2 experience, you can always play on some random Gmod server and aggravate people / MicSpam / Grief / RDM. :p

Manhunt, remastered using Red Dead 2's engine, and then a direct third installment set as a direct sequel.

Red Dead Redemption 1 being given the Capcom treatment and being remastered with added depth to include more of 2's story.

Bully 2.

Updated versions of GTA 1, London, and 2 being fully playable on PS5.

Lemoyne outlaw

for starters i want them to make story dlcs again. rdr2 had so much potential for them. and they threw it all away for online which failed anyway.

also i want a comic series for the van der linde gang. they could do an issue for each gang member. and it would show their origin story. and how and when they joined the gang. start with dutch all the way to charles the newest member. this would be great especially if the next red dead game has nothing to do with the van der linde gang. i want to see more of this group. and follow their adventures. and a comic would be great because its collectable. and they don't have to worry about who would play who in a tv show or movie.

Proper remasters/releases on PC for GTA LCS and VCS. And also Red Dead Redemption on PC  either remake or remaster I don't care and I am sure most wouldn't either, by now I doubt that will ever happen..

Perhaps even for the top down games to be available again but don't see that either.

As for games I'd go for a Manhunt 3 or another game like LA Noire. But much more prefer to see another Manhunt. Doesn't need to be the same story, completely new one and a new location.

Last is GTA IV Multiplayer to return but I think that might happen still with some update in the future?...who knows I just don't see it AS unlikely as the other ones.

I'd love to see The Warriors added to the backwards-compatible list or remastered. I've been unable to play it since I had it on PS2.

It's available on PS4 I think, as well as PS Vita, but always found it weird they never ported the Xbox version. Same with III, VC, and SA; the Xbox editions were better than the PS2 counterparts in a lot of ways.

Yes, true that. Sony PS got The Warriors and the original GTA's and Xbox got RDR.  I suspect Sony may have a deal or clause with Rockstar to keep those titles with exclusively backwards-compatible. I used to have a port of the original San Andreas Xbox version working on my Xbox One in the early years and I deleted it only to find that you could only download the mobile port version of SA from about 2014/205 onwards. That was a bum move by Xbox. The original SA was better in many ways on the Xbox (there was a rewind/replay feature) but it lacked the beautiful orange hue sunset of Los Santos on the PS2 version. Something slightly soulless without that orange hue sunset on the Xbox version. However, the cars had better shading and shine off them.

Maybe I'll pick up a PS4 to play The Warriors on it. Even a PS Vita would be nice to toy around with.

I remember buying the original trilogy on PS4, and what was great was that San Andreas was the PS2 port, so it retained the orange hue. However since the DE trilogy got released it's impossible to get the original ports now, except I still have them thankfully cause I never bought the DEs.

I remember being able to buy the 360 edition, and then I lost my sh*t when I discovered even with the disc it would essentially download that horrific mobile port. You can get a fat PS4 quite cheap, and play the classics. PS store has Manhunt, Red Dead Revolver, The Warriors, and a load of other PS2 ports. I really think it's a disgusting move on Rockstar's part to not give people the choice on console to download the original versions of 3, VC, and SA anymore.

The Warriors 2

Not at all. I absolutely loved the film and played the game tons when I was younger. It was only made because of the film so it shouldn't be touched. The Warriors is a masterpiece.

Bully 2 would be nice, too. I still have hope it'll come eventually.

Rockstar was at once planning on making a sequel to the warriors but i assume it was in a different universe and setting than the warriors. I guess it was just the gameplay they wanted to focus on, unfortunately we'll never see that :(

Actually? I haven't heard anything on that. I guess if it was in a different universe, I'd like to see. Just as long as they don't touch the OG warriors, which will never happen now
