GTA 4 - Draw distance problem and lod issues

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I have a steam version of gta 4 complete edition. I Installed 4 mods:

1 - Fusion fix

2 - Xbox rain drop

3 - Lod lights

4 - DXVK (used d3d9.dll from x32 folder)

When i'm playing, i have issues with draw distance and lods. Does someone know how to fix this? Here is a link to video:

My pc specs: Ryzen Pro 7 3700, 64 gb ram, 4070ti.

My commandline.txt

-availablevidmem 10000
-percentvidmem 100
-norestrictions
-no_3GB
/high

Try the latest version of Fusion Fix, it now has Z-fighting fixed which sorts out a lot of LOD issues.

Quick question about that, I downgraded my game and with it I also have the Fusion Fix since it is included in the checklist, how can I go about updating the version that gets added into the game via the downgrader?

I made an attempt yesterday but I ended up breaking my game.

FusionFix works only on the Complete Edition, if you want to stick with your downgraded copy you'll have to use Zolika's fork: https://github.com/Zolika1351/GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix

But, unless you want to have multiplayer, I would personally play on CE as you're always guaranteed to have the latest version of FusionFix and likely the least amount of issues. Plus the official thread is dedicated to the CE version only, so reporting and fixing issues is again easier if you stick with the main branch.

Aaahh I understand now, that must be why my game was a mess when attempted to add the new files into it.

I did read the CE requirement, but I was under the assumption that, much like the downgrader, the CE requirement means a clean copy of the game, but I understand now.

to fix the drawdistance make sure to install this: https://github.com/Zolika1351/GTAIV.EFLC.FusionFix (disable motion blur and depth of field)

also the correct (unlimited) commandline.txt is:

-norestrictions
-nomemrestrict
-novblank
-noprecache
-nomemrestrict

also disable ESB on AMD GPUs, otherwise the game crashes everytime.
