Since 2019, I've dedicated myself to making unique clothing mods for GTA 5 by designing 3D models from scratch and meticulously hand-texturing them proceeding to rig and materialize to get them in game. Through my persistent efforts, I've been enriching the game's wardrobe with original and highly detailed garments based from real life that offer players an immersive and personalized fashion experience.
As of recently I began re-playing and modding GTA 4 for my own pleasure to play the game and ended up finding that most of the clothing mods out there are pretty dated (excluding CustomizableNiko) compared to most of the newer graphical mods that remake the textures for vegetation, cars, and ect.

Mod Project Info

So In my pursuit of revitalizing GTA 4's visual aesthetics, I have embarked on a comprehensive approach that uses the power of an AI technology called "LetsEnhance.AI" . By leveraging a sophisticated AI upscaling system, I am remaking the main character's textures and the clothing to a striking 2K resolution, enhancing the quality and detail of its appearance. However, recognizing the imperfections that can arise from automated processes, I am taking on the responsibility of addressing and fixing any errors introduced by the AI. This involves a careful review and adjustment process to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of the final textures. Moreover, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to the hands-on endeavor of remaking textures from scratch, imbuing them with a personal touch and creative reinterpretation. Through this hybrid approach that harmonizes AI-powered enhancement, error correction, and manual labor, I aim to deliver a GTA 4 experience that seamlessly merges the nostalgia of the original with the visual splendor of higher resolution textures.



In my ongoing project to enhance GTA 4's visual appeal, it's important to note that I'm working alone and the mod itself is currently in its BETA stages. While I am actively paying to use this AI technology to upscale the main character and clothing textures to 2K resolution, and simultaneously addressing any errors the AI introduces, along with manually remaking textures, the mod is still undergoing development and refinement. This beta phase allows for testing, feedback collection, and continuous improvement before the final release. By incorporating input and refining the mod's features, I aim to ensure that the eventual release offers the best possible visual experience for fans of GTA 4.

I'm excited to share that significant progress has already been made. Niko's main outfit, as well as his head and hands, have all been successfully made to an impressive 2K resolution and now feature reworked normal maps and spec maps these improvements heighten sharpness and depth which can be seen below.

(all textures are imported into OpenIV with A8R8G8B8 and Mipmaps 10 for the highest quality and lowest amount of compression

Here are some in game screenshots of the reworked balaclava I had to recreate the texture by hand as the initial upscale was unsatisfactory to me.

Showing game screenshots of the reworked duffle bag. It was necessary to recreate certain sections of its texture by hand, as the initial upscale produced less than satisfying results in specific areas.
