Guest
yes breaking the bank at Caligula isn’t required, to beat the game, and people said it if it was canon, toni would kill cj, but here the thing yes it not required, but toni didn’t kill cj, as it stated toni killed a made man cj was no way made, and also sal couldn’t get revenge on cj because of all of cj connections and sal was in the middle of a war and didn’t want to make a bigger war, so what i’m asking is even though it not required, then why is salvatore so paranoid in gta lcs and gta 3 because in san andreas he wasn’t as paranoid, but he is in these games, look he killed JD he was paranoid, he held a gun to toni face because he was paranoid, curly bob said he was dangerously paranoid, he even betrayed claude and tried to kill him because he was outsider like cj afraid he was working against him, and even used made man on JD and Claude to manipulate them and then get rid of them that a sign there, so if the mission isn’t required how do you explain sal paranoia there really no other way to explain it besides this? Silver
Well, Salvatore is the boss of his own crime family and has been for a number of years. Such a position tends to make people paranoid because of the nature of their environment where schemes and betrayals can lead to their downfall. Power corrupts and is craved by many, this is just as true in the criminal world as any other. Salvatore has plenty of enemies, and one could argue that the Caligula heist was the reason why he became paranoid or that it has at least contributed to his ever-increasing paranoia over the years. But even if you don't want to consider said heist as the reason behind it, I think him being the boss for so long is enough to assume that his paranoia comes from his own experience and perhaps even his old age by GTA III.
