Update f

Update for anyone with this issue. The conflict (at least in my game) turned out to be the newest version of this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/map-fixes

downloaded an older version and it worked fine

You're right, but not for only that mod, seems like all of Alex's mods are incompatible with this, due to the orderValue being so high. The only mod from him that worked so far is the "Old Gen Radar" mod.

I guess try to decrease the value on those mods and see if it'll work.

By the way, I was able to make the songs from Cayo Perico Heist and The Contract play in story mode.

It's just that the trainer does not allow us to make new mixes of FlyLo FM and Worldwide FM play in story mode, and if you turn on the new tracklist of Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics through the trainer, only new songs will play in your game [I don't need it, I want these songs to play randomly like all the other songs] and West Coast Classics doesn't play songs from The Contract for me.

rwcTXg.png

I'll share the link later [if someone needs it, and I want to do more checks] and I didn't even have to move these files, because of this it doesn't increase the size of Airwaves mod + I was able to restore the Skeptra playlist on iFruit Radio.

And yes, Radio Los Santos now contains 88 songs, which makes it the biggest radio station in the game (except Music Locker Radio, which has 108 songs)

By "setting the order level higher", is that number numeric or in order of priority? In other words, do I set it higher or lower than the number it already is? Either way, I've tried numbers ranging from 100 to 1024 and I haven't gotten a single new song to load in. What exactly is going on here? Did a new patch break this or something?

It doesn't. Infact, even if the dlclist is totally empty it doesn't work! Unfortunate. Seems like this mod has some sort of sentient person-by-person bias.

One user on YouTube noticed that the song Descendents - Ride The Wild from Channel X uses a re-recording from 2021, which certainly wasn't there when the game was developed. It should be the original 1980 version.

But the original version of the song seems so out of place [or I may have found the wrong version], but that doesn't change the fact that the original version should have been in the game, and it seems like here it is https://youtu.be/7RXRWBkDK9w?si=1g5529u1PfQMbtfX

This is in the comments of this video https://youtu.be/W5Un2MxzBXQ

And also what did you do with the songs Cold War and Work Hard, Play Hard from Radio Los Santos? They had perfect quality in the previous version, just compare them with the original versions.

And in my opinion, there is no sense to deleting the intro of the songs No Sympathy and Initiation, since the beginning of these songs was the perfect moment for the intro, and it looks strange how the game instantly switches to any song from these, so I'm sure that no one would delete the intro of these songs.

Yeah, don't know why the creator used a newer re-recording and not the original, personally the one from their album "Bonus Fat" should be the one on here, it doesn't sound that bad imo

Here it is:

I seem to have found another song using a remaster that was released later in 2013, and this song is Kent State - Radio Moscow from Channel X, apparently, Airwaves uses a 2019 reissue.

i've tried installing this multiple times but for some reason no matter what i do. this will not work. order number? nothing. removing mapfixes? nothing. East Los FM and West Coast Classics work fine just no new songs on the radio. one last thing perhaps i hadn't thought of. i do use "Simple Trainer" which allows for MP Radio Stations in single player. could this be a conflict? of note is that PMR works fine on my end even with Simple Trainer.

Still don't know what to make of the problems some people are facing. Guess this mod really is sentient, ultimately choosing who it works for - and who it does not. I'll look into making an alternate version of the mod that doesn't rely on the update system for the ones who can't get it to work. It's proven very problematic. Since the game is getting a new update soon I'll wait till then as it might complicate things further.

I have been and will (for the foreseeable future) be very busy so punctuality is something I can't guarantee. I'll do what I can.

Well, if you want, I can do it for you, I don't see any difficulties, because I was able to figure out how to work with Codewalker quickly.

And also, in the next update, could you fix that you accidentally used the reissue of song Ride the Wild from 2021, which definitely could not be used during the development of the game, and also the song Radio Moscow from the rejected Channel X soundtrack seems to use the reissue from 2019.

Okay, I don't want to leave any more comments that don't relate to the mod, but I have 1 idea.

Restore all the cut songs from iFruit Radio, according to my research, iFruit Radio does not play the so-called Skepta playlist, because it uses "TrackType: 12" which does not match other radio stations, I just changed this value to 2 and all the songs started playing again, DJ speech also works!

I also assume that the station no longer plays these "takeover dj solo and "takeover id" because they use "TrackType: 13" and TrackType:14" which is also not consistent with other radio stations.

To restore all the songs and these "takeover" files, you just need to re-add their audio metadata but with a different "TrackType"

That's how I restored them, I added them manually to your dlc_airwaves_game.dat151.rel file

And that's all, I think many will be happy if you do this.

On my Nexus Mods [I know you asked to delete this, but I'm sure everything will be fine] there is also the possibility of including songs on Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics from The Contract, but I forgot how I did it, and I actually prefer to play without them.

Just the trainer either does not include them or it does so that you have The game only plays songs from The Contract, which I'm not interested in.

Yeah, the WCC and RLS bug is still happening for me. I took the mod out a month ago and just now decided to try it out again to see if it was maybe game-save related (since then I have decided to replay the GTA 5 story as a homage to the recent GTA VI trailer) but it still happens. Well, guess it is what it is. Take your time, it's an excellent mod.

EDIT: I got it to work! It was my end all along, all I had to do was copy update.rpf to my mods folder. Man sometimes I just dunno my own stupidity :)

girlsonfilm did an awesome job on this!
but unfortunately they made two small boo boos in the latest upload
1. firstly, in content.xml it gets referred to dlc_airwaves and AIRWAVES
_AUTOGEN instead of dlc_spairwaves and SPAIRWAVES_AUTOGEN
2. secondly, only dlc_radio_01_class_rock was referred to in the <dataFiles> and
<filesToEnable> section, instead of all changed stations

install via OIV
or manually (by renaming OIV file to OIV.rar and extract its contents and open assembly.xml to see where to place)
then in OpenIV [Edit Mode] drop in two corrected xml files in
\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\spairwaves

It's nice you managed to spot and fix these inconsistencies. However, I don't think they're relevant to the overall functionality of the mod. It still works properly for me, and two others I know also installed it without issue. The second point also was something I consciously did, as I started running into problems initially when all the radio folders were mentioned in the xml. For some reason, only keeping LSRR listed made sure everything worked properly on my end. It was like this ever since the first release.

MGgames said he ran into other people who also experienced the same problems regarding RLS and WCC (in relation to a totally different mod) and also was stumped as to the reasoning behind it. The only remedy it seems, is to create a separate version that isn't reliant on the DLC system for people who are running into this mysterious problem.

Is it just seems to me, or does the game have any limitations? Something like it is possible to expand radio stations only once, but they seem to somehow bypass this in GTA Online, because I tried to add metadata Radio LS and WCC from The Contract (Songs, ID, and Solo files) to metadata Airwaves (With Codewalker), and everything worked, now they are playing original songs, beta songs and songs from The Contract, nothing hard.

Initially, I wanted to use a separate DLC for RLS and WCC and it didn't work with Airwaves, but it works without Airwaves.

everything is working fine now, turns out  it was just the OIV not putting the entry into my dlclist. now i just have the issue  of add-on sounds (engine sounds/sirens) being silenced with this enabled. i'm sure i can figure that  out on my own. great mod and i'm finding some  great music i'd  have never  heard  before with this

I am having issues with the DJ's not commenting on certain songs like "Let it Rock" "American boy" I tried to reinstall the mod and the issue is still there. Also there are other songs from Other stations the DJs just don't comment on and it just plays if anyone has a solution I would be happy.

They comment completely randomly, there is no problem here, it also happens in the original, the game does not intend to comment on all the songs from Los Santos Rock Radio at once, for example.

I think it might be the mod menu i am using to skip the tracks which is probably a factor also to why they don't comment. In Gta 5 I did find that the Radio Dj doesn't announce certain times and other times don't, For example Corbi-Feel good is like that but I never heard the  DJ announce "Let it Rock" or American boy no matter how many times I restart the game. I tested out the theory for an hour but no luck for me

Perhaps a slightly different issue: I got the mod to work in GTA O, but Radio LS and WCC's new mixes breaks the radio once I switch to those stations lol

In Single Player the mod works fine with the game's original radio mixes for RLS and WCC. I know this is an unintended use of the mod and w/e, but if anyone knows a way to disable the mod's new songs for RLS and WCC easily (or if you have any other solution even!) please lmk 😛 thanks

Well, I know how to enable gta online songs on Radio LS, WCC, FlyLo FM and WorldWide FM+ with working original songs and beta songs in Single player (It doesn't work with the trainer, I do it in a different way), but I do not know how to disable the new mixes of Radio LS and WCC in GTA Online.
