[V] Airwaves

I think the issues with Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics are caused by the Contract update (mpsecurity).

Those stations have a bunch of songs which shut off in SP from that update. You may need to ether merge your stations with the Contract update, or you may need a script to patch the code which is blocking those songs. It gets pretty bad when the Contract songs are enabled and it even breaks the other stations too.

Is there any other way to fix it? I have the PMR mod and I don't want that to break either.

Probably.

When I have those songs from the Contract disabled, mine works. But when they're enabled, the 2 radio stations are completely broken.

I really don't know why this happens for some. I can't replicate it. I've installed it to a clean game and everything works fine on my end.

I can even enable the Contract songs through the trainer, and the DLC songs play just fine, although OG songs don't play. Not sure if that's intended. The trainer couldn't have accounted for Airwaves, so I'm not surprised if the trainer does break with the mod installed.

For unknown reasons, Radio Los Santos plays only new songs from The Contract with a trainer, but West Coast Classics does not play any songs from The Contract, I'm sure it's because of the Airwaves.

And also the errors in TrackID are fixed only in English, in all other languages the song We Gettin' Down is listed as We're Getting Down and not only.

Nope, Contract WCC songs play just fine on my end.

The reason why We Gettin' Down's name is wrong is because its ID is still left in the retail TrackID (check for yourself). It was something I had overlooked. The errors within the retail song names are only available in English, as (due to personal reasons) I was in a rush and didn't have time to fix the errors for other language gxt2s as well. You can use the DLC TrackID option in the meantime, or WildBrick's community TrackID (which combines both Airwaves and PMR IDs into one gxt2):

If it's not fixable, can we get a version which has the Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics songs removed?

Honestly giving how the DLC's are layering oddly, and how GTA V gets unpredictable the more stuff gets layered, it'll probably work if you merge the DLC with the Contract.

You can merge your stuff in the dlc_patch folder in update.rpf, and add the sfx files in a dlc2.rpf subpack.

This is odd. Usually, the trainers will enable these songs when in SP they are supposed to be disabled. This is (my thinking) on how it breaks this mod with those stations. However, it should have immediately started working after the trainers that were replicating the bug were removed. In my case, this didn't work. I'm glad it worked for you, though maybe I'm thinking there's another way to disable the online songs/stations. Also, most trainers only enable the radio stations, Kult FM for example. I honestly don't think I've heard the contract DLC songs in SP with even three trainers (Simple Trainer, Menyoo and Zolika).

Edit: As of right now, I've tried a few things but all were/are futile. If this isn't replicable as stated by girlsonfilm, then there must be something wrong with my installation. I just really wanted RLS and WCC in my game because it ruins the immersion when I am replaying the story mode. I don't know which other mods may have interacted and broke the airwaves, but as far as I know removing the trainers that enable Online radio stations doesn't seem to fix anything. Hopefully, girlsonfilm will be able to address the issue somehow.

Honestly I think the release has the wrong files.

When I install the version to remove PMR songs from LS Rock Radio (as well as the no PMR Songs on LS Rock Radio file that comes with the PMR download), I still get PMR songs on LS Rock Radio.

I looked into merging this with mpsecurity, but it's such a massive pain that I'm just going to uninstall the mod so all the radio stations work properly. I hope you figure out the issue.

Checked the .rel's from the release version just to confirm I'm not going crazy. The Airwaves optional .rel does not have P.M.R songs included.  It has You Oughta Know and The Real Thing in because they were originally cut from LSRR. The Readme specifies this. It's separate from the PMR mod.

Regarding the .rel in the PMR archive, it seems the one in the root somehow had the PMR tracks left in by mistake. sh*t happens. I'll update it asap. The other .rel's are fine.

I personally am at a loss when it comes to the whole Radio LS and WCC thing. I've re-installed the game twice and both times the mod has worked fine without issue on my end. I don't see how it wouldn't on other systems. I'll see what I can do though.

Edit: New link for the PMR update is up. I'll look into RLS and WCC and release a hotfix. Will also be re-doing a handful of the intros as some, in retrospect, sound pretty horrid. Rebel Radio for the most part. Sorry Jesco. When you work on these things for hours on end without rest you start getting a nasty case of tunnel vision.

Have been busy and strapped for time recently so not sure I'll be able to deliver that soon

Hopefully all will work itself out. This is a fantastic mod

My only thing is Los Santos Rock Radio does have some songs which would fit on other radio stations. For example I had Linger by the Cranberries and You Aughta Know by Alanis Morissette playing on it, even though they'd fit on Non Stop Pop.

On a side note, this mod adds a lot of of songs that make me want a similar mod for GTA III and VC. Lots of great period correct songs that would fit in those games.

He doesn't even need to do that! It's an optional thing (like including the new Vladivostok tracks Rockstar put in), so don't choose the file with the cut tracks 😛

Wow! I found another cut song for which an intro was created, and this is Moby - My Beautiful Blue Sky, because as you can see in the screenshot, the hash MYBEAUTIFULSKY_01 and MYBEAUTIFULSKY_02 completely matches with the existing files 0x2D540C33 and 0x57576039 (in OpenIV they are called as hashes because OpenIV does not know the real names of these files)

So you can restore this song right now, since Radio Downgrader will be updated soon, because the author forgot to create archives of The Beat 102.7 and The Classics 104.1 with music that was deleted in 2018.

And later I also edited the file AudioTracks.txt in Documents/OpenIV/GTA IV/Strings, opening it with notepad and adding it to it:

MYBEAUTIFULSKY_01
MYBEAUTIFULSKY_02

And now the name is correct

Is there by any chance we could ever get the online exclusive Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classic songs into story mode?

Hello. I was thinking if someone could upload a video on how to set up the beta radio mod for GTAV in OpenIV, as I don't know how to set it up on OpenIV, even with the tutorial text provided from the mod file.  Also, you can play this radio mod in GTA Online? It would be very cool to listen to some previously cut songs while driving in Los Santos at a public lobby.

One user on YouTube noticed that the song Descendents - Ride The Wild from Channel X uses a re-recording from 2021, which certainly wasn't there when the game was developed. It should be the original 1980 version.

But the original version of the song seems so out of place [or I may have found the wrong version], but that doesn't change the fact that the original version should have been in the game, and it seems like here it is https://youtu.be/7RXRWBkDK9w?si=1g5529u1PfQMbtfX

This is in the comments of this video https://youtu.be/W5Un2MxzBXQ

And also what did you do with the songs Cold War and Work Hard, Play Hard from Radio Los Santos? They had perfect quality in the previous version, just compare them with the original versions.

And in my opinion, there is no sense to deleting the intro of the songs No Sympathy and Initiation, since the beginning of these songs was the perfect moment for the intro, and it looks strange how the game instantly switches to any song from these, so I'm sure that no one would delete the intro of these songs.

Yeah, got the same problem as the others, mod doesn't work even when setting the "orderValue" high, just the text works.

Which is strange since this mod initially worked when I first installed it, now not anymore.

Even on a fresh install and clean mods folder, also off-topic but the tracklist for PMR doesn't work either now.

Which sucks cause this is a great mod and just makes me a bit annoyed not having it work anymore, I'm trying methods to have it work again, will come back if I find a solution.

Rockstar released an update 2 days ago, possibly because of this.

Re-installed the game again today. Mods still just work as they should. I'm baffled as to how or why some clean installs behave differently from others. But I think it's genuinely some DLC XML setup f*ckery at play. Can you try setting the order value to 124? You said it worked for you before. That was the value that was set in the setup2.xml of the 1.0 version.

Open OpenIV, select your GTA V installation, go to Tools > ASI Manager and install both the ASI Loader and OpenIV.asi. Then on Tools click Package Installer, and select the OIV. Install it to the mods folder. And as with all mods that work through OpenIV, this mod won't function in Online. It's strictly single player.

The next update for Radio Downgrader will contain an option to restore two cut songs, one from VCFM and one from Self-Actualization FM (it also fixes the broken song on K109 but that will be included in the default option), the reason these two were chosen was because they still had DJ lines left behind in the game so it was just a case of supplying the song and timings.

Do you know how to work with the Parik tool? I don't understand anything in these cc and hh files [How can I convert SOUNDS.DAT15 and GAME.DAT16 and such files from TLAD and TBoGT to Json and then back], I want to add some new songs to the game (basically expand short radio stations like Fusion FM, IF99, The Journey, JNR, Liberty City Hardcore, and restore all the other beta songs from Vice City FM).

I was able to create all the audio files with the help of RAGEAT, and I edited the time where the DJ can comment on the songs, but the latter seems to be responsible for the work of ZiT!

NZ9tu4.png

And I also don't know what I need to change here, and I have increased/changed the volume of the songs so that they match the other songs, and also under what conditions the first channel should be left or right, everything is different for all songs.

I'm having the same issue with the text part working but the Audio not. It does seem to work properly if there's literally no other mods in the dlclist but obviously that's not what I want lol. It's weird cause the mod was working just fine like, yesterday and now it won't no matter what

Neon Trees - Animal (Wiki states it as having been meant for Radio Mirror Park, which is wrong as its ID was added to the TrackID database 70 songs before any Radio Mirror Park songs were added. Fits the station fairly well in the same vein as something like Midnight City)

Small correction: Neon Trees' Animal was always meant for NSP. This note should be next to the Miike Snow "Animal". You also missed an apparent second Robert Plant song mentioned in Carson's update (among others) but that could've just been an alternative DJ intro to Big Log.

Also, will you ever be doing a GTA IV edition of this mod? That game also has a veritable goldmine of cut songs.

EDIT: Also, I think you miiight have the wrong Red Red Wine. Unless you've seen other evidence, everything Carson ever said re; that song was that it was the UB40 version that was cut, and the Blue Ark article on Wikia backs that up. (As opposed to Songbird, which he initially listed as the Eva Cassidy version before he later corrected and stated it was actually the original by Fleetwood Mac, and now Fleetwood Mac is credited on the LSRR article on Wikia.)

Update for anyone with this issue. The conflict (at least in my game) turned out to be the newest version of this: https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/map-fixes

downloaded an older version and it worked fine
