So... GTA Vs 10th anniversary was coming up, and I felt like replaying it for the first time in a long while. But I wanted to find a way of spicing up my playthrough.....

airwaves.png

This mod restores all of the 200+ radio songs that did not make the release game (alongside one track cut from the game post-release). Not a single piece of existing music has been replaced.

The tracks have proper DJ intros and outros (which I had to time manually for all 200+ songs) and ALL BETA SONGS (barring some of the tracks from Posh Boy's Channel X Rejected album) have their own special DJ announcements!  373 separate lines in total! (Done with a mix of RVC and ElevenLabs). In addition to this, many of the beta tracks also play inside of interiors to properly integrate them into the overall game experience. There's nothing more appropriate than The Way I Are booming off a strip club speaker.

All of the songs are HQ FLAC rips that have been mastered and normalized (and many had to be manually EQ'd and adjusted in order to sound good). A copious amount of testing was undergone to make sure tracks worked and sounded as they should.

So enjoy playing through GTA V the way the soundtrack guys intended (or I'd hope so at least.)

Preview videos of the mod in action!

(Keep in mind that the Soulwax preview consists of a highly edited and condensed version of the actual mix)

Tracklist:

Spoiler

This list might contradict some of the lists that currently are available - but many of them are flawed. This list is largely based off of the placement of the songs in the TrackID - which paint a cohesive enough picture of what songs were meant for what station. Some songs however, were moved to other stations regardless of their original placement as to better match the direction of the final game's radio stations. Some songs were merely rumored to have been part of the game and thus, never confirmed - but I included them either way as they sound appropriate. If you want a 100 percent accurate track list, I've added an optional to remove unconfirmed tracks.

Los Santos Rock Radio:
Kenny Loggins - I'm Alright
Kiki Dee - Star
Golden Earring - Radar Love
Crowded House - It's Only Natural
Michael McDonald - Blink of An Eye
Paul Weller - Round and Round
Duncan Sheik - She Runs Away (Wiki states it having been meant for Non Stop Pop, which doesn't make sense and is very likely incorrect. Its ID shows it was added alongside other LSRR tracks in the database)
Ram Jam - Black Betty
Robbie Dupree - Steal Away
Faith No More - The Real Thing (Has nothing to do with P.M.R.  Its ID was added 80 or so songs before any P.M.R tracks were added to the database)
Robert Lamm - Sleeping in the Middle of the Bed Again
Small Faces - Tin Soldier
Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel - Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)
Stevie Nicks - Sable On Blond
The Clash - This Is Radio Clash
The Cult - Lil' Devil
The Cult - Outlaw
The Cult - Wild Flower
The Doors - L.A Woman (unconfirmed, it's only been reported The Doors were meant to be in. Decided to be cheeky and included LA Woman)
The Prime Movers - Strong As I Am (Guessing someone at Rockstar was a major Michael Mann fan?)
AC/DC - Shot Down In Flames
Alanis Morissette - You Oughta Know
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues (Wiki states it having been meant for Rebel Radio, but it was added alongside other LSRR tracks in the database)
Billy Idol - Cradle of Love
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Ohio
Eric Clapton - Cocaine
Fleetwood Mac - Songbird
Huey Lewis and the News - Hip to Be Square
Maria McKee - Show Me Heaven
Neil Young - Old Man
Robin Trower - I'm Out to Get You
Steve Miller Band - Take the Money and Run
The Cranberries - Linger

(There's an optional to remove P.M.R songs from LSRR. You could also get my P.M.R mod, which too disables these songs from LSRR)
Mansun - Wide Open Space
Oasis - It's Good (To Be Free)
The Charlatans - The Only One I Know
Travis - Side
Staind - It's Been Awhile

Non-Stop-Pop:
Cobra Starship feat. Sabi - You Make Me Feel...
Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull - I Like It
Estelle feat. Kanye West - American Boy
Jamiroquai - Love Foolosophy
Kevin Rudolf feat. Lil Wayne - Let It Rock
Kylie Minogue - Surrender
Supermen Lovers - Starlight (Ok so this might be a bit of an egrigious pick as this track's exclusion was an uncited rumor, but it fell right in place with the other French House tracks on the station. And it's a bop. So I decided to give it a pass.)
Neon Trees - Animal (Wiki states it as having been meant for Radio Mirror Park, which is wrong as its ID was added to the TrackID database 70 songs before any Radio Mirror Park songs were added. Fits the station fairly well in the same vein as something like Midnight City)
Seal - Future Love Paradise
Miike Snow - Animal
Timbaland feat. Keri Hilson - The Way I Are
Michael Jackson - Jam (not entirely confirmed, but an unmistakeable interpolation of it can be heard in one of the Jack Krowitzer segments. Can optionally be removed)

Following songs were originally cut from Los Santos Rock Radio, but moved to Non-Stop-Pop for the mod as it fits the station better:
Duran Duran - Serious
Wilson Phillips - Hold On (Wiki states it has having been cut from NSP, but the TrackID suggests it was meant for LSRR instead, which makes a lot of sense considering the song's AOR and power pop influences)
Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Olivia Newton-John - Physical

Radio Los Santos:
A$AP Rocky feat. Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar - f*ckin' Problems
Buddy - Awesome Awesome
French Montana feat. Rick Ross, Drake & Lil Wayne - Pop That
Glasses Malone feat. Jay Rock - No Sympathy
Tyga - Rack City
T.I. feat. Trae tha Truth - What It Do
Waka Flocka Flame - Rooster in My Rari
2 Chainz - I'm Different
2 Chainz feat. Drake - No Lie
100s - Brick $ell Phone
Chief Keef - Love Sosa (whilst only confirmed by Chief Keef himself - who might have been lying, other songs of his did make it into the game. It could be his song was given the boot once he broke NDA. The track fits the game incredibly well either way.)
Clams Casino - Cold War (considered putting in the version with Lil B but the mere thought of seeing "LIL B" on the radio wheel makes me crack the hell up)
WC feat. Young Maylay & Ice Cube - You Know Me
E-40 feat. Slim Thug & Bun B - That Candy Paint
Jay Rock - Boomerang
Juicy J feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz - Bandz a Make Her Dance
Kanye West feat. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz - Mercy
Machine Gun Kelly feat. Waka Flocka Flame - Wild Boy
Meek Mill feat. Rick Ross - Believe It
Miguel feat. Wiz Khalifa - Adorn (Remix)
Wiz Khalifa feat. Lola Monroe & Amber Rose - Initiation
Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard, Play Hard
Mac Miller - Loud (A Miller track was cut from the station that we don't have a name for. Taking into account most cut tracks are from 2012, I picked Loud off Macadelic. Fits the station really well)
Young Jeezy feat. Freddie Gibbs - Rough

Channel X:
Bad Religion - We're Only Gonna Die
Circle Jerks - Dude
The Alley Cats - Nothing Means Nothing Anymore
Descendents - Ride The Wild
The Germs - Manimal
The Gun Club - Sex Beat
7 Seconds - 99 Red Balloons
Agent Orange - Bloodstains
The Dickies - Give It Back
The Dickies - Hideous
Fear - Let's Have a War
Frenzal Rhomb - You Are Not My Friend
The Last - She Don't Know Why I'm Here
Middle Class - Out Of Vogue
Redd Kross - I Hate My School
The Screamers - Vertigo
The Weirdos - Solitary Confinement
The Plugz - A Gain A Loss (technically unconfirmed, as it's only known A song from The Plugz was cut. This song appears on Keith Morris's Trust Playlist, which also includes other GTA V tracks like D.O.A - The Enemy)
Alice in Chains - Social Parasite (Demo) (Mentioned in next-gen leaks, listed on the official soundtrack list on IGN, and re-appeared in the official The Sound of Grand Theft Auto: A Musical History playlist)

From the Channel X Rejected Soundtrack album by Posh Boy records (the label which supplied most of the music for the station):

Spittin' Teeth - Destruction

Rebel Radio:
Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen - Hot Rod Lincoln
Hank Williams III - D. Ray White
Jimmy Martin - Run Pete Run
Johnny Paycheck - (Pardon Me) I've Got Someone To Kill
Waylon Jennings - This Time
Johnny Cash - Man In Black
Jon Wayne - Mr. Egyptian
GG Allin – Son Of Evil
Dick Stubbs - Wired For Sound (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)
Dick Stubbs - Hillbilly Swing (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)
Black Lips - Navajo (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)

Radio Mirror Park:
Digitalism - 2 Hearts
Ducktails - Assistant Director
Friendly Fires - Hurting
Future Islands - Before the Bridge
Gold Fields - Thunder
Junior Boys - ep
Moving Units - Until She Says
Panama - One Piece
Rainbow Arabia - Blind
SebastiAn feat. Mayer Hawthorne - Love In Motion
The Shoes - Time to Dance

Daniel Avery - Drone Logic
Ann Steel - My Time
In Flagranti feat. Amypop - Nonplusultra
Robolledo - Steady Gear Rod Maschine
Sparks - When I'm With You (Instrumental)
Matias Aguayo - Niños
Sneaker Pimps - 6 Underground (Bluebottle Mix) (the remix is listed among NSP tracks in the ID database, but as a dark downtempo and acid techno tune, it would have been more fitting for an electronica station. It would've worked on WWFM or FlyLo just as well, but I honestly couldn't be asked to touch up more base-game mixes. sh*t's time-consuming dawg)

East Los FM:
Toy Selectah - El Sabanero Raver

West Coast Classics:
2Pac feat. K-Ci & JoJo - How Do U Want It
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Mr. Bill Collector
DJ Pooh feat. Kam - Whoop! Whoop!
Mack 10 feat. Ice Cube & WC - Westside Slaughterhouse
Nate Dogg - I Got Love
The Whoridas - Talkin Bout Bank (Funk Mode Mix)
Spice 1 - 187 Proof
Warren G feat. Nate Dogg - Regulate
Thug Life - Pour Out A Little Liquor (not confirmed, as we only know an unnamed Thug Life track was cut. This number is from the Above The Rim soundtrack, which also features Afro Puffs and Regulate - so I felt if any TL track was going to be chosen, this might have been a strong contender.)
Digital Underground - Same Song
MC Ren - Ruthless For Life
The D.O.C featuring N.W.A - Grand Finalé
Ice Cube - Wicked
Dr. Dre - Let Me Ride
Too $hort - Money In The Ghetto
MC Breed & DFC -  Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin' (unconfirmed as we only know an MC Breed song was planned to be in, but this song samples songs featured in previous GTA games, and it was even sampled in Dre Day, a song from San Andreas)
Snoop Dogg Ft. Goldie Loc - 20 Minutes (unconfirmed, only this particular collaboration was confirmed)

Blue Ark:
Bramma feat. Elephant Man - Duh Weh Mi Waah (very certain this song only saw a single release on one riddim comp, and that one release is mixed like garbage. tried my best to salvage the audio but the bass still clips a f*ckton.)
Dennis Brown - Westbound Train
Gregory Isaacs - Slum
Junior Murvin - Police and Thieves
Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters - Jungle Lion
Leo Graham - Want a Wine
Linval Thompson - Jah Jah the Conquerer
Sean Paul - Temperature
Sizzla - Living Up
The Upsetters - Closer Together (eh technically unconfirmed, we just know an Upsetters cover of a Curtis Mayfield was cut.)
Mikey Dread - Dread At the Controls
Tony Tribe - Red Red Wine
Romain Virgo - Night Nurse
Bounty Killer - Murder (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)
Burning Spear - Door Peeper (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)
Brentford All-Stars - Soul Shake (unconfirmed, the artist is confirmed to be cut from the game but their song is not known)

The Lowdown 91.1:
Edwin Starr - Easin' In
Marvin Gaye - I Want You (Vocal)
The Ohio Players - Fopp
Rare Earth - Get Ready (Wikia states it has having been meant for LSRR, which is highly unlikely considering it was a Motown release, and added alongside other Lowdown songs to the TrackID)
The Dramatics - Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get
The Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine
The Kay-Gees - Master Plan
The Meters - Cissy Strut
The Pointer Sisters - Yes We Can Can

Timmy Thomas - Why Can't We Live Together
The Blackbyrds - Dreaming About You (unconfirmed, only the band is confirmed to have been cut)

Space 103.2:
Con Funk Shun - Ffun
Kano - Can't Hold Back Your Lovin' (made it into the release game; cut from a post-launch update. Let me remind you that it's almost September folks.)
George Duke - Reach For It
Kleeer - Intimate Connection
Rick James - Mary Jane
Rick James - You and I
Zapp - Be Alright (LP Version)
Rufus and Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody
Cameo - She's Strange
Eugene Wilde - Gotta Get You Home Tonight
The S.O.S Band - For Your Love (unconfirmed, we only know they were meant to be in. I picked For Your Love off their 1983 record On The Rise, which also features Just Be Good To Me, a song from GTA IV. Considering a Loose Ends track from the same album that had a GTA IV track was cut, I figure they would've similarly chosen a song from this particular album.)
Fatback Band - I Found Lovin'
Funkadelic - One Nation Under A Groove
George Benson - Give Me The Night
Joe Tex - Loose Caboose
Loose Ends - Slow Down
Randy Crawford - You Might Need Somebody
The Whispers - Rock Steady
Young and Company - I Like What You're Doing To Me
Chic - Le Freak (heard during station bumper)

Worldwide FM (Mix done by MGgames100 and Mr. Jawsum)
The Funkees - Dancing Time
Janko Nilović - Funky Tramway

Joe – MB
The Invisible – Generational (Theo Parrish Edit)
Lewis Taylor – Lucky
Alice Russell – For A While
Miles Davis – Will O' The Wisp
Lianne La Havas – Au Cinéma
Rhye – The Fall

Vinewood Boulevard Radio:
Cold War Kids - Hang Me Up To Dry
DIIV - Doused
Hanni El Khatib - Head In the Dirt
Hanni El Khatib - Pay No Mind
The Black Keys - Lonely Boy (technically not confirmed, but an unmistakable snippet of the song can be heard in one of the stations idents. Fits the station well too)
No Age - Eraser (actually saw these guys live very recently)
Psychic Ills - I Get By
Wavves - Dog
Tame Impala - Solitude Is Bliss

Also, unrelated to the mod, but a fun little tidbit!:

Spoiler

The TrackID also heavily hints at some songs having been moved around, like West End Girls originally having been on LSRR back when it still heavily leaned on 80s power pop and new wave. The database also adds validity to Party All The Time indeed having been meant for LSRR originally, as it was added alongside other LSRR tracks. Here is a list of songs that (based on their placement in the ID database) were moved:

Eddie Murphy - Party All The Time (moved from LSRR to Space)
One Way - Cutie Pie (moved from Lowdown to Space)
Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls (moved from LSRR to NSP)
DIIV - Doused (moved from Radio Mirror Park to VBR - it seems VBR was actually a split-off of an earlier version of Mirror Park. See explanation below)
The Soft Pack - Answer To Yourself (Moved from Mirror Park to NG VBR)
Hall and Oates - Adult Education (moved from LSRR to NSP)
Evelyn Champagne King - I'm In Love (moved from Lowdown to Space)

Cut tracks that are incorrectly rumored to have been for other stations:
The Ohio Players - Fopp (listed among Space tracks, probably not meant for The Lowdown despite it having Climax in its playlist.)
Faith No More - The Real Thing (meant for LSRR instead of PMR. All of the PMR songs were added in a single batch from ID 1118 to 1123, and FNM - listed among other LSRR tracks - was added some 60-70 songs before the PMR tracks were added.)
No Age - Eraser (originally meant for Mirror Park! It seems that originally VBR and Mirror Park merged genres, covering all aspects of L.A.'s alternative music scene - noise pop, shoegaze, and dream-pop included - as the other VBR tracks were added some 100 songs later. It also explains why VBRs track list is so incredibly short in comparison to other stations. However, I don't doubt that if it were to make it in, it would have been moved to VBR. To add further evidence to the fact that VBR was a split-off of an earlier version of Radio Mirror Park, DIIV's Doused was added to the database AGAIN once the VBR tracks started being licensed.)
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues (Listed among LSRR tracks - not Rebel Radio)

I also fixed many of the naming errors within the original TrackID (misspellings, inconsistent text formatting, and uncredited features/miscredits).

There are far more corrections than just these - but the others I've kind of lost track of. Either way, this should give you an idea.

I've done a copious amount of testing and am confident everything works as intended. If there are any glaring problems which would warrant an update - then do ring the alarm. There's over 200 songs after all.

Edit: If songs refuse to play, try setting the order level higher in the setup2.xml file inside the root of the dlc.rpf file. My apologies.

Version 1.2 change log:

Spoiler

267 NEW DJ INTRO LINES!!! ALL BETA SONGS ON ALL STATIONS have one to three introductions now!!!!

Some of them are not 100 percent perfect as my accent may still bleed through on a couple (Cara's lines took so many re-takes) but I'm overall impressed with how good they sound. It's almost uncanny!

Voicing, implementing them (especially implementing DJ speech is such a convoluted process) and testing them took a good 50-60 hours, but I was dedicated to making this mod as feature rich and complete as possible. If you really don't like them though, you can simply delete intro.awc from whatever station you don't want intros to play on

Added 5 more songs from artists confirmed to have been cut from the game.

Blue Ark:

Bounty Killer - Murder (2012)

(Found this on Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/1346960-Burning-Spears-Brentford-All-Stars-Door-Peeper-Soul-Shake. It could be Perry's comments were referring to this release when he mentioned either artist.)
Brentford All-Stars - Soul Shake (1969)
Burning Spear - Door Peeper (1969)

Rebel Radio:
Black Lips - Navajo (2007) (Whilst this song is more recent than the tracks that normally play on the station, the cut track D. Ray White from Hank Williams III also was a 2006 release. Being somewhat familiar with Black Lips's discog, I am 100 percent confident either this or How Do You Tell A Child Someone Has Died was planned to be chosen. Navajo is a bit more upbeat which is why I went with that)
Dick Stubbs - Hillbilly Swing (1955) (Eh, it literally is the one other song released by Stubbs, and it's very short. I don't think anyone's gonna fret over two Dick Stubbs songs being on Rebel Radio)

The Lowdown 91.1:
The Blackbyrds - Dreaming About You (1977) (Rockstar loves to include tracks that are often sampled by hip-hop artists. E.g, the cut Space 103.2 tracks I Like What You're Doing Me and Mary Jane are sampled on Dollaz + Sense and Late Night Hype respectively, which play on WCC. The Blackbyrds track Rock Creek Park, featured in San Andreas, was sampled by a myriad of hip-hop artists as well. Dreaming About You was one of their most frequently sampled tracks, which is why I went with it.)

Sat down and listened to all 200+ songs in-game to see what things I have missed. And there definitely was some stuff I overlooked:

- Countless tracks have been normalized and EQ'd further to allow for even more audio consistency
- Numerous (and I hope all) typos are corrected
- Many lengthy tracks have been shortened to comply with the format of GTA Vs retail stations. Retail songs cut off at 5 minutes, and some tracks in the mod were over 5.5 to 7 minutes. The only long track left is L.A Woman, as I was trying to mirror the "full album cut" shtick that Roundabout did. Its intros use that "full album cut" sound effect as well to acknowledge this. Oh, and The Real Thing is over 6 min still. Song is just too good to shorten. Sorry.
- Fixed an odd issue where if a song's internal DJ intro timing was long enough and the intro audio itself short enough, it would allow the game to play two seperate intro comments back to back on some songs. Considering how RNG the DJ intros are, it was difficult to test and ascertain which songs fell victim to this.
- Fixed typos that would prevent two RLS songs from playing inside of the Vanilla Unicorn. This might also have helped fix random crashes if you were suffering from any
- Fixed 12 songs that exhibited strange auditory artifcats caused by Adobe's buggy software. It's possible however that most of these songs broke only after their levels were limited, and therefore were intact in the original release of the mod. But still, it's worth mentioning in case anyone experienced weird audio issues when listening to these tracks. These songs were:
ASAP Rocky - f*ckin Problems
Ducktails - Assistant Director
Future Islands - Before The Bridge
Glasses Malone - No Sympathy
Young and Company - I Like What You're Doing To Me
Loose Ends - Slow Down
The Last - She Don't Know Why I'm Here
Detroit Emeralds - Let Me Take You In My Arms
Rick James - You And I
Randy Crawford - You Might Need Somebody
Agent Orange - Everything Turns Grey
The Whispers - Rock Steady
- TrackIDs now don't affect Rockstar Editor strings anymore

Radio Los Santos:
- A couple of tracks on the station suffered from very clippy hi-hats. Said distortion has now been eroded.
- Rack City replaced with the album version
- Adorn replaced with the Adorn Remix featuring Wiz Khalifa, fits Radio LS far better and might've even been the track that was meant to be chosen, as the original seems so out of place

Blue Ark:
- Fixed incorrect song length timings on:
Police And Thieves
Closer Together

Red Red Wine
- Fixed a typo that prevented Romain Virgo's Night Nurse from showing up on the radio wheel before tuning in
- Restored the audio to Duh Weh Mi Waah further

Non Stop Pop:
- Adjusted Jam mixing to make MJs vocals louder

Los Santos Rock Radio:
- New Sable On Blond mix
- New Sleeping In The Middle Of The Bed mix, removed the awkward and drawn out avant-jazz interlude to make it more radio-friendly

Rebel Radio:
- Fixed incorrect song length timing on I've Got Someone To Kill

Space 103.2:
- Fixed an oversight that prevented Can't Hold Back Your Lovin' from playing properly, its DJ intro speech now plays as well!
- Ohio Player's Fopp has been moved from Lowdown to Space. It's evident from the TrackID that it was meant to be added to Space's track list (https://imgur.com/a/X0pLbMr), and it arguably fits the station better.
- Eugene Wilde's Gotta Get You Home originally had inverted channels. Not sure as to how that happened, and it's the only song this has ever happened to, took a while for me to really notice. The song now sounds good

Lowdown 91.1:
- Corrected a typo that would prevent the intro to We Gettin' Down from playing
- New I Want You mix

Worldwide FM:
- Fixed an issue where songs from the extra mix wouldn't show up on the wheel before tuning in

Vinewood Boulevard Radio:
- Fixed an oversight that prevented Dog from playing
- Re-timed Head In The Dirt DJ intro

West Coast Classics:
- MC Breed's Gotta Get Mine has been replaced with Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin'. Has a stronger G-Funk influence that fits the station better. It also samples tracks previously featured in the series (Ohio Players - Funky Worm; San Andreas, Zapp - More Bounce To The Ounce; Vice City), and was even sampled in Dr. Dre's Dre Day, which was in SA. So I find this to be a more likely cut than Gotta Get Mine.
- Grand Finale DJ outro re-timed

Channel X:
- Made an attempt to lessen white noise in Vertigo
- Fixed a typo that prevented Clean Cut American Kid from showing up on the radio wheel before tuning in
- Symbol Six's Beverlywood has been added to the Rejected Soundtrack selection
- Audio levels of the Rejected songs have been lowered as to match retail and regular beta song audio levels better

MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR THANKS TO
MGGAMES100 for:
- Worldwide FM Mix (created by him and Mr. Jawsum)
- Implementing all the Channel X Rejected Songs (I originally planned on ignoring these)
- Generating most of the Los Santos Rock Radio, Radio Mirror Park and Channel X DJ lines, and writing a couple of them too
- Additional testing and feedback

WILDBRICK142 for documenting the ins and outs of the game's radio system and creating a comprehensive TrackID database, this could NOT IN ANY WAY have been possible without Brick's research. I hope to treat you to a beer someday.

Ash_735 for hosting the videos and doing the thumbnails for em!

And also a major thanks to the developers of OpenIV & and its OpenFormats system, and Codewalker (for allowing me to edit audio metadata).

A postscript. Or ramble. Both:

Spoiler

Putting this mod together might have been one of the most tedious things I have ever done. No fancy tools were used to automate the process, everything had to be done manually with OpenFormats and Codewalker.

No other tools were used. All 200+ songs had to be added to the audio metadata manually. The amount of testing this required alone. I probably added 20+ hours to my playtime just driving around and seeing if things played correctly. Add another 60 hours on top of that for the time spent 100 percenting the game.

Sourcing HQ rips of the songs, manually splitting them into separate channels, normalizing them, compiling the metadata for each individual track, and inserting them into the sound data was tedium of unfathomable proportions. The new Soulwax mix also took around 2 to 3 days to get right (and I am pretty happy with the result).

Was it worth it? When taking into account the weeks of my life that it essentially robbed me of, probably not. But self-indulgence is a pit I unfortunately often stumble into. And I mean... what's cooler than cruising down Vinewood Boulevard on a sunny afternoon with American Boy blasting on the stereo???? One thing's for sure - I probably am not touching a videogame after this again lol.

This mod represents hundreds of hours of work and testing (and the gradual degradation of my sanity lol). I sincerely hope you enjoy it.

Shame that we came up with the same idea. My mod was made since the 2022 and I was nearing it's completion, but this mad lad did unthinkable and finished it in less than a month. Oh well, I'm glad I could include some of my features here. Enjoy!

PMR works fine, but whenever any of this mod's songs try to play, they're immediately skipped, and Soulwax and East Los FM are completely silent. They won't even play the vanilla mixes.

Huh, that's odd. Did you install P.M.R or Airwaves first?

Airwaves. Probably should've tested it with the dlc_airwaves_game.dat151.rel that's in the dlc.rpf initially, admittedly, because I installed both plus the dlc_airwaves_game.dat151.rel that comes with PMR before playing GTAV so I wouldn't hear PMR songs on LSRR.

The mod should still work either way. I can't seem to replicate it. Do you have other mods in your dlcpacks folder? If so, can you tell me which mods? I have the feeling this may have to do with the setup2.xml priority value clashing with that of another mod

Since you mentioned that, I changed the mod's value from 56 to 999 and it fixed my issues.

Ah. Yeah I feared the value would be too low - but I've heard a very high value also causes issues. Not sure what the deal with it is but if that works, then cool.

Mann Maker Studio

hi, this is my crazy idea

what if, we have an actual gta radio in real life ?

so we can tune to some airwaves in reality, from GTA I to GTA V (or Online)

so in some stations, plays loop (particularly GTA III and GTA VC) and some stations plays randomly (particularly GTA SA)

it is possible way to feature a music continues to play when the car is turned off, instead just pause it when using a cd player.

Great mod, I wanted to do the same, but I didn't know how to add new songs without replacing, I found out about it only yesterday, but you forgot to restore the song The Temptations - Psychedelic Shack on The Lowdown 91.1.

Proofs:

7KHo6L.png

And also the songs from the cut-out radio P.M.R on Los Santos Rock Radio seem out of place.

And also a rather strange decision to move some beta songs, for example Rufus and Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody from Los Santos Rock Radio to Space 103.2, although it was confirmed that this was removed from Los Santos Rock Radio and could not be on Space 103.2.

And also some beta songs remain in question,

For example the song Rough could actually be Do It For You.

Psychedelic Shack is on The Lowdown though. Maybe I forgot to include it in the tracklist on the post, but it's in the mod. There's an optional to remove the P.M.R songs from LSRR.  And some songs were moved as they fit other stations better. Ain't Nobody would've likely suffered the same fate Party All The Time did (another boogie/synth funk track) and have been moved to Space if it did stay in.

And regarding Rough, it was either one or the other. Adding in both would've been unnecessary. Rough is more trap influenced than Do It For You and sounds like it would've fit Radio LS better.

I haven't played GTA V in 7 years but I'm a sucker for beta content and the completionist in me always fiended for the missing piece of the puzzle to give the radios in GTA V a bit more of a cohesive direction.

Thanks for this, great work. Might just install V again just for the mod!

Also will you restore the cut songs from the radio from GTA Online? Half of the songs were missing on iFruit Radio [approximately in The Contract update], and in the game files these songs are listed as a Skepta playlist and only the Danny Brown playlist is playing on the radio.

Danny Brown playlist:

Megan Thee Stallion ft DaBaby — Cash sh*t (2019)
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib — Crime Pays (2019)
Danny Brown — Dance In The Water (2016)
The Egyptian Lover — Everything She Wants (2018)
Travis Scott — HIGHEST IN THE ROOM (2019)
Yung Thug ft Gunna and Travis Scott — Hot (Remix) (2019)
DaBaby ft Kevin Gates — POP STAR (2019)
Baauer and Channel Tres feat. Danny Brown — Ready to Go (2019)
Shoreline Mafia — Wings (2019)
Alkaline — With the Thing (2019)
City Girls — Act Up (2018)
Denzel Curry & YBN Cordae — Alienz (2019)
Koffee ft Gunna — W (2019)
DaBaby — BOP (2019)

Skepta playlist [Either it was deleted, or it's a bug]:

Skepta ft Nafe Smalls — Greaze Mode (2019)

Pop Smoke — 100k On A Coupe (2019)

slowthai — I Need (2019)

Burna Boy ft Zlatan — Killin Dem (2019)

Skepta & AJ Tracey — Kiss and Tell (2019)

D-Block Europe — Kitchen Kings (2019)

JME ft Giggs — Knock Your Block Off (2019)

Kranium feat AJ Tracey — Money In The Bank (2019)

J Hus — Must Be (2019)

D Double E & Watch the Ride ft DJ Die, Dismantle and DJ Randall — Original Format (2019)

Headie One ft Skepta — Back to Basics (Floating Points Remix) (2019)

Naira Marley — Opotoyi (Marlians) (2019)

ESSIE GANG ft SQ Diesel — Pattern Chanel (2019)

Music Locker Radio [But you need to make this radio station available in story mode, otherwise it's pointless to restore songs]:

Keinemusic Tracklist:

Keinemusik feat. Nomi Ruiz - Bumper

[The song is used at the Keinemusik Beach Party, and it's also in the TrackID, it may have been deleted at the last minute:

0x770EE4AF = KEINEMUSIK FEAT. NOMI RUIZ

0xAC25CEF8 = Bumper

Moodymann Tracklist:

The following songs that appear in Moodymann's set at The Music Locker were probably at some point planned to be included in the radio tracklist, as Moodymann created different mixes of the setlist:

Moodymann - I'm Doing Fine
Rick Wilhite - Techno Dust
Kemetrix - The Hunger
Moodymann feat. Chico DeBarge - Just Stay A While
Urban Tribe - Program 17

MOTOMAMI Los Santos [If this radio station is not available in story mode, then just go gta online and then back to story mode several times]:

ROSALÍA - MOTOMAMI

[Plays only in all bumpers of the radio station]

Great job! I've been wanting to restore these songs for a long time and have them play on existing radio stations and so that the presenters could comment on the songs, I know that there is Self Radio, but this is absolutely not what I want, and I also want to publish this mod and a mod that adds radio P.M.R to Nexus Mods, do you mind?

And I also noticed that for some beta songs you deleted the intro for unknown reasons, and you also used the song You Know Me from the music video, although the original version should have been used on the radio anyway.

Spoiler

Some long intros were shortened on purpose - as many retail songs also have condensed intros. Also, I saw your original post about names not working for other languages. (Pretty major oversight, my bad) But the mod only affects american_rel.rpf. I'll bring out an update that affects all language RPFs accordingly very soon - but in the meantime, import the trackid.gxt2 from update2.rpf/x64/lang/american_rel.rpf into your desired language RPF.

I was able to fix the missing beta song titles by simply installing the DLC TrackID from the optionals folder and I added it to the archive with the mod [mods, update, x64, dlcpacks, spairwaves, dlc.rpf]

Yep. That works too. However, do keep in mind that using the DLC TrackID option will mean other add-on stations won't have their TrackID read, resulting in blank names

Ans also if there is a way to make radio stations from GTA Online available in story mode? And it will be just funny if Radio Los Santos and West Coast Classics will play original, cut and new songs from GTA Online.

If there's ever another update to this mod, I'd like to point out that this song has Freddie Gibb's name misspelled :pp

Hah. Thanks for pointing that out. A lot of small stuff you can miss when you're working with 200+ songs. Working on an update right now.

How did you make GTA Online radio stations available in GTA V?

Simple Trainer (linked by Nelson ^) is what I use, but there are other scripts available on GTA5-Mods iirc. With Simple Trainer you can also choose which playlist to use for stations with new mixes like West Coast Classics and Radio Los Santos

Why didn't you move the song Circle in the Sand from Los Santos Rock Radio to Non-Stop-Pop FM? This song was supposed to be on Non-Stop-Pop FM, this is confirmed by two unused lines of the DJ:

x64\audio\sfx\RADIO_02_POP.rpf\intro.awc\CIRCLE_IN_THE_SAND_01

x64\audio\sfx\RADIO_02_POP.rpf\intro.awc\CIRCLE_IN_THE_SAND_02

Spoiler

And I'll also just tell you that there are still a few typos in the TrackID in the game:

Non-Stop-Pop FM:

Morcheeba - Tape Loop

[In 2019, this was replaced by (Shortcheeba Mix) but it is not indicated on Radio wheel]

FlyLo FM:

Alain Goraguer - Meditation Des Enfants

[After the song You Never Come Closer, 20 seconds of this song is played, but this is not indicated on Radio Wheel, and it was most likely used to make a smooth transition]

Flying Lotus feat. Krayzie Bone - Medication Medication

[Officially called as Medication Meditation]

https://soundcloud.com/flyinglotus/medication-meditation-ft-krayzie-bone

https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/k49a58878a93ok/gtav-soundtrack-listen-to-original-new-songs-added-from

Alain Goraguer - Ten Et Tiwa Dorment

[After the song, Medication Meditation plays a few seconds of this song, but it is not indicated on Radio Wheel]

Kaskade - 4 AM (Araabmuzik Remix)

[While the first minute of the song "4 AM (Araabmuzik Remix)" plays, the station actually plays the first part of 4 AM (Adam K. and Soha Remix) at a higher pitch. This may have been used as a way to provide space for Flying Lotus's commentary as there is no intro to the official version of the song,  and it is not indicated on Radio Wheel, but this song is also indicated in the official Next Gen song list]

Because I didn't deem it to be necessary. It obviously was moved for a reason, and I'm glad it was. Non-Stop-Pop really doesn't need any more 80s soft rock ballads.

Yes, you are right, but I would like these lines to be used again, but it doesn't matter.
