Tommy standard player model =  PLAYER.dff   PLAYER.txd inside of gta3.img

PLAYER.bmp inside of PLAYER.txd  --> Standard Hawai shirt

But game doesn't use PLAYER.txd inside of VC\models\gta3.img

Game use VC\models\generic\PLAYER.bmp (PLAYER.txd)
This texture can be changed by Game options > "Player Skin Setup"

If generic\PLAYER.bmp not exist, then PLAYER.txd inside of gta3.img is used

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Replace  PLAYER.dff  and PLAYER.bmp by modloader:
-------------------------------------------------

create subfolder inside modloader folder, name it skin or whatever

put your <player_model_mod>.dff into modloader\subfolder
and rename it to PLAYER.dff

put your <player_model_mod>.txd into modloader\subfolder
and rename it to PLAYER.txd

extract <MOD>.bmp from <player_model_mod>.txd into modloader\subfolder and name it PLAYER.bmp

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Without modloader
-----------------

Open VC\models\gta3.img and rename PLAYER.dff   PLAYER.txd to PLAYERold.dff   PLAYERold.txd

rename <player_model_mod>.dff to PLAYER.dff
rename <player_model_mod>.txd to PLAYER.txd

Add PLAYER.dff and PLAYER.txd  to VC\models\gta3.img

run Rebuild Archive

extract <MOD>.bmp from <player_model_mod>.txd into VC\models\generic and replace PLAYER.bmp

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: this doesn't change the cutscene model
cutscene model dff requires extra models
but <cutscene_model>.txd can be replaced by <player_model_mod>.txd

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Replace other PLAYER models (cop skin, medic skin, suite, worker, golfer etc..)
-------------------------------------------------

Instead PLAYER.dff and PLAYER.txd can be changed:

PLAYER2.dff
PLAYER2.txd

PLAYER5.dff
PLAYER5.txd

PLAYER8.dff
PLAYER8.txd

PLAY10.dff
PLAY10.txd

PLAY11.dff
PLAY11.txd

PLAY12.dff
PLAY12.txd

PLAYER6.dff
PLAYER6.txd

rename <player_model_mod>.dff to PLAY11.dff
rename <player_model_mod>.txd to PLAY11.txd
