Have you tried the solutions on youtube? There's some there that might help as it's common issue. I think you might have already searched though right?

If it is just G-Spotlight mission, I could pass that mission for you if you want so you can continue with the rest, also on the site gtasnp you can see what version you have aside from uploading and sending your save file.

Spoiler

Delete .set file from your Documents\Vice City User Files folder
Open the Start menu, in the search box type "advanced system settings".
One result will appear, click it.
In the window that opens, click the Advanced tab, then the first Settings button
Go to the "Data Execution Prevention" tab, and click "Add..." to add an exception.
Browse to your gta-vc.exe and select it.
Now "OK" all the dialogs until they're closed.

Alright let me know and I'll pass it for you so you can continue, send save file link once uploaded. I believe it's a modding issue that is causing it. The base game has no issue like that as far as I know here.

Hi, I am experiencing the same issue. Could you assist me as well? Here is my save file : https://gtasnp.com/ExQyzY

I can't load your save file, do you have a save from a mission/s before that I can load? I assume your game was modded in some way that might have corrupted it? From your side you can load the save but just crashes at the mission or?

If really was the exact issue above with the other user I don't know as they never replied, but they said their game was crashing at that specific mission in-game, with your save I can't even load it to check the mission.

Hello again,

I apologize for not providing more details earlier. Let me now explain the situation in more detail.

I can run the save file I sent you without any issues, and I am also able to open other save files without any problems. By the way, you were right—I am using the Definitive Edition Project mods along with a few other mods that I personally installed. Additionally, I have installed a translation for a different language, which might be the reason why the save file has a different name.

Now, coming to the main issue—my problem is exactly the same as the one mentioned in the title. Right after completing the G-Spotlight mission, my game crashes within a few seconds, and I receive the following error:

"Unhandled Exception c0000005 at address 004bb557."

This means I am experiencing the exact same issue as the other person.

So far, I haven't encountered any issues while completing other missions—this crash only happens after finishing the G-Spotlight mission. I have watched almost every troubleshooting video and tried all possible solutions I could find on the internet, but none of them worked.

Additionally, I even tried reinstalling the game without any mods or scripts and attempted to load my save file. However, instead of continuing from where I left off, the game started from the very beginning.

Long story short, no matter what I try, I haven’t been able to fix the issue. I suspect that one of the mods I installed might be causing a conflict with the offset required to complete the G-Spotlight mission.

In an attempt to investigate my save file, I even downloaded a hex editor (HxD) but unfortunately, I couldn't make sense of anything.

If you have any information that could help, please share it with me. I would really appreciate any assistance.

I don't know if somehow editing the save this can be fixed like they do for GTA San Andreas. But either way I cannot even load into the game to see the mission on the unmodded one (I tested on 3 modded versions too including one that has DEP which I installed manually before the site got taken down and it doesn't load either so yeah it has to be very specific mod that is causing this. (the game starting from beginning does not happen to me so it is also your version?)

Different language translation mod was way later or you downloaded that and it included DEP? Just an assumption but if is the same one as those I am aware of (that use the DEP mod but have more)  then it could also indicate it has messed something by default, the ones who packed it (it's not vanilla as in RGL/Retail/Steam etc), that's the reason I think why I cannot load it and you can, it's modded in it. It can depend on the source of your game and what they did with it, not all are the same, GTAForums doesn't support pirated versions here so we can't provide more help IF it is (no warez rules). Just an assumption though as I don't know what other mods you used.

Last what you can do I think is get a new save file to pass that mission that the stats are close like yours from here or wait if someone is capable of editing the save itself. Sorry I am not able to help more (unless a previous save), if ArmanCan sees this or someone else maybe they might be able to help if there's a solution.

If you list the mods you are using probably the modding support section might be of help if someone knows what caused both of the problems, with your own topic there and all the mods you put.
